Top 4 medications can cause leaky gut in your horse:

💊Antibiotics - are prescribed to eliminate harmful bacteria. The PROBLEM is that antibiotics do not differentiate between "good" and "bad" bacteria. Killing the healthy bacteria in your horse can lead to a compromised gut barrier.

💊NSAIDS (anti-inflammatory drugs) - inhibit the production of prostaglandin which is essential for the gut liner health. NSAIDS alter the gut bacteria and increase gram negative bacteria (bad bacteria) producing toxins which are killing good bacteria and harming the protective gut lining.

💊 Acid Reducing Drugs (Omeprazole) - Alters the natural gut bacterial composition.
