As a lot of you already know, a couple weeks ago I sustained some pretty bad bite wounds to my dominant hand. I had to take 10 days off to allow for healing and be out of the risk of infection. A few were worse than the others and have taken longer to heal. That being said, a lot of appts were affected during the time I had to be off and in order to get everyone back in, I have to make adjustments to the upcoming weeks. I'm working as quickly as I can to get the schedules revised. During this process, there have been a few interactions that have been less than favorable in terms of how some individuals responded. I hate that I have to point out that I am one person and unfortunately, life does happen. When working with dogs in general, there are risks we all take on a regular basis. As much as we would love to say every dog we encounter is super friendly and compliant, that is simply not the case. We risk bites, back and joint injuries, sore muscles, and more. Some injuries do cause needed time off to heal and recover. I understand the frustration for people when they would like things to go smoothly and grooms to happen in the time frame they desire. But some seem to forget that the business owners feel that frustration even more. During the time I had to be out, the appts needing to be rescheduled grew by the day, I spent hours daily reaching out to clients and replying to every message, and did everything I could to aid in the healing process so I could get back to work. Not to mention the loss of income for that time, which for a small business, is hard to manage since bills still need paid despite the money not coming in.
While I continue to get the schedules sorted out and everyone back in, I ask that you be patient, understanding, and most importantly, be kind. I try to do everything I can for every client and I love all the Fur-Ever Friend I have. But, I am human and can only do so much at any given time.
Thank you all for your continued love and support 💜🐾🩷🐾💙
