You are my (Krista’s) favorite dog! You do zoomies when you’re happy, you use your head to rub us so that you can give us a hug, your tongue is always out and ready to give us kisses. You are the epitome of a humans best friend. We love you so much and are thankful for the time we’ve had with you, so far!!! Thank you for being a part of our family. And thank you to the community who helped us get her back so we could show her the love she so deserved!!!

Hi friends, it’s Maple! I wanted to give you a PUPdate on how I’m doing in my forever home!!

I have put on a good amount of weight because my humans feed me every day! (I didn’t get that before so I’m really happy to have lots of yummy food!) I’m no longer scared of trucks and loud noises, but Im still unsure about umbrellas and brooms! I refuse to go up the stairs, but that’s okay, because my family has made me the most wonderful home on the first floor to accommodate my needs!

I got to go on my first camping trip and I did so good in the camper.... except for trying to sneak the corn on the cobb off the counter. LOL. I love rolling around in the grass and doing “zoomies” around the yard when I’m excited.

I have 3 kids at my house that keep me pretty busy and love to snuggle me. They even use me as a pillow sometimes and I love to have them close by. My mom and dad keep buying me new beds because I’m super messy, but they recently got smart enough to buy me one with a removable and washable cover! It’s memory foam and my most favorite bed yet.

I love to be outside more than anything and have learned to “knock” on the door when I want to go in and out. Sometimes I visit mom when she’s working in the office and I say hi to her students when she’s on Zoom. They all think I’m pretty cute, too!

Mom says I’m her favorite dog ever, but not to tell the others. She says I love differently because I had a rough start to life, and I’m a really special dog. I love my family and have a house full of people that spoil me everyday!

If I close my eyes and become invisible you won’t know I snuck a whole pack of bagels from the pantry into my cage for a midnight snack 😬 (edited to add that I did not actually eat the bagels, I just like to hide treasures in there for my humans to find)

Thank you so much to everyone who helped donate to Maple. While we would have spent a million dollars to get her back, we definitely weren’t expecting to have such hefty costs so suddenly. Your kindness and generosity have meant so much and allowed us to not stress as much about all the extras right now. Thank you again from the bottom of our hearts...and thank you to Sarah for setting this up all on your own without knowing anymore about us outside of our posts showing our love for Maple.
