We also attended Global Pet Expo 2022, and our new product the Funki Flingerz had a big week! These are not quite available but we are working with retail partners to hopefully be in stores by summer!

Today we wanted to shed some light on an awesome shelter we have worked with over the last few months. Douglas County Canine Rescue is a great local rescue located in Douglas County, Colorado. If you are around Littleton this weekend (8/22), they are having an adoption event at Coal Mine Ave Brewing Co, which is an awesome pet-friendly brewery! Come grab a beer and bring anyone you know who might fall for a set of "puppy-dog eyes" 😃

Another feature on our Flinger that we wanted to highlight is one that we have gotten a lot of questions about. You might have noticed we have little plastic flaps on the top of the Flinger, that help stop the ball from sliding too far down the tongue.

These were recently added because we used to get a lot of feedback that our ball would get shoved too tightly onto the Flinger and that it would be really tough to get off. We added the flaps to help combat the issue, and help get you the perfect throw every time.

Some of you have noticed that it does affect your ability to really launch the ball hundreds of yards. While this is true, we have realized that most dogs don't mind doing a few more laps to make up for that extra distance you might lose in a throw.

Caution: Hot Paws!! 🐾 Now that Summer is in full swing, it's likely that you and your pets will be enjoying time outside. Whether you are on pavement, rock/rock slabs, sand, or even wood, it is important to continue to test the ground with your hands to make sure it's not too hot. If you don't, you can burn the pads right off your dog's feet, which is extremely painful. TO TEST THE GROUND: Simply take your hand and apply decent pressure for 10 seconds. If it feels uncomfortable then it can burn your dog's paws (It doesn't have to be super painful to cause your pet harm, so better safe than sorry)

Exercising your dog is one of the most crucial ways to keep them healthy, but did you know that some high-energy breeds can need up to 2.5 hours a day in walks/exercise? Most dogs, however, only require 3 - 4 walks a day that are about 15 minutes each. How often do you and your pups get out to exercise?

It's Humpday! This is you and your dog's weekly reminder to drink lots of water and NEVER chew on tennis balls. The chemicals and materials found in most of them are bad for dogs, as well as humans, so be safe and get a Flingerz Ball 😁

Look out! We're packing treats!

This was a fun tip that was shared by a customer years ago and we have loved using it for our dog Spoon ever since! Its great for keeping your dog occupied especially if you can't just let them outside easily.

We use Zuke's Mini's since they fit perfectly in the ridges and stay in well. Check them out as well if you haven't tried them!

Breathability & Airflow. These are two things we wanted to keep in mind while creating our amazing ball. Our ball is designed with slots and space that allow your dog to breath easily while they carry the ball. Have you noticed this make a difference while playing fetch with your dog?

We knew so many dogs (like Keifer here) who love to just hang out with a ball in their mouth. That's why, aside from durability, having a ball that allowed for airflow while in a dog's mouth was a main design point. It not only helps dogs catch their breath while playing but also limits hazards associated with choking and chewing up toys.
