About us

Polaris Dogs is a training and dog walking service based in North Dublin, run and operated by Darina.

Darina grew up around dogs, her 1st loves Alfie, & Charlie – 2 rambunctious collies that solidified her love for all things dog. Having spent 5 years learning her trade in one of Dublin’s top doggie daycare and training centres, Darina set up Polaris in early 2020.

Darina is a professional member of the Institute of Modern Dog Trainers (IMDT), and is a member of Pet Professionals Guild British Isles (PPGBI). She holds an OCN L4 certification in ‘Introductory to Canine behaviour’, and an OCN accreditation in ‘Principles of Dog Training and Behaviour’, and advocates for force-free, positive reinforcement methods of training ensuring both dog and human are having fun. Darina continues to study in her field, attending courses and seminars regularly.

She currently lives in North County Dublin with her 4 rescue lurchers and her little ruby Cavalier.
