So we never posted last night our daily picture of one of our lucky Sanctuary animals, we were too busy helping to capture a few loose rabbits that needed our urgent attention. So, we decided to post two today! Wilbur AKA not your Thanksgiving ham 2024! I received a call 2 weeks before Thanksgiving 2023, that there was a male pig that was going to be slaughtered, So in the car I went and rescued my feisty little guy, Wilbur loves everyone, loves to walk his property, enjoys walking the Johnny LoBello trail ,sometimes when he get a little bit of mischief, he will travel over 12 acres to go to the apple orchard that abuds his property, I always get a phone call to come get him, he doesn't like to be disturbed while he is getting attention from all the Apple Pickers, and eating the apples, when he is ready that is when we will head back to our property, so it's a very long day for me waiting and watching him, so because of this, he now has an extension on his house so he no longer gets to roam Scituate, he loves his brother Raymond, Raymond was used in the fighting ring in Providence, when I found out that there was a rooster walking the side streets of Providence near Rhode Island Hospital, I knew I had to get him, he is also a feisty one, them two together make the perfect pair, they live in a 800 square foot Barn, with another 300 ft of outdoor enclosure, this this keeps them safe and very happy. Raymond is very protective over Wilbur and Wilbur is protected over his blankets and his food, like I said this is the feisty crew. They have heat in the winter and fans in the summer! They also live with two rabbits, and four feral cats! So I call this the man's dorm! They would love a visit from you all this spring, as long as you bring them some treats! Wilbur loves pear slices with peanut butter, Raymond loves whole corn and cheerios! Just look at Raymond relaxing on his rug🤣
