Welcome to Backstretch Catz! My name is Hailey and I'm a traveling groom/exercise Rider on the racetrack. More than once I have had cats come and go as my companions on the track. And more than I'd like to admit I've lost them too. A lot of tracks also have an over population of cats. And this is something I'm going to aim to fix. I'd like to make it an easy transition from track to track for people and there beloved barn cats. And find homes for those that just can't stay with there barn as well.
#1. Let's start spaying and neutering our cats. If you can't afford it Backstretch Catz will hopefully begin to help through donations.
#2. Food, toys and housing needs! If you have a cat you need these things Backstretch Catz will help set you up to provide for your cat. Any donations of these items will also help!
#3. Leaving suddenly? Got injured? Cant keep your racetrack cat? Backstretch Catz will help you find a suitable place for your cat. Whether it's a new barn or an outside adoption!
#4. Kittens! We will gladly take abandoned kittens. And find homes for all kittens born on the backstretch.
#5. Veterinary needs. Backstretch Catz would also like to begin helping to ensure all cats that are owned by a barn, or person living on the backstretch to have their cats up to date on all necessary vaccinations!
And...
#6. Education is key! We need to ensure everyone knows how to properly handle and care for their cats.
