It’s so awesome to see momma duck did hatch out some babies but a little sad to see them roaming by themselves while she hasn’t quite quit the other eggs in her nest yet. So for safety’s sake these babes are in the brooder for babysitting until momma comes out from under the stairs to look for them.

Pair of bonded Sebastopol geese available WARRENSBURG NY pm for additional info. Low fertility but the offspring they do produce have gorgeous feathering as pictured in the second photo. That gosling was hatched that spring and was feathered out like that by fall.

Looks like the baby is here to stay. One little female this year. Hopefully a better hatch next year 🫶🏼

36 cayuga eggs heading to the incubator

2 Sebastopol as well so far and adding as they come

Collecting salmon Favorelle and Buff Orpington eggs for the next few days to set too

If you missed the spring rush for new birds because you weren’t ready for them take your time and rest assured I’m setting one more batch after this one

DNA test has been sent out on the egg shell from the Sebastopol gosling. If it’s a gander it will be available FCFS I’ll post the results when I get them. I believe it will be a shade of blue, gray or even lilac/lavender

Final count on this last cayuga batch 8 ducklings. All available on FCFS basis. The older ducklings are moving out to the pasture until fall and I’ll sort through then and have adults available ! Setting eggs all through June

🖤🦆 all of these babies are spoken for but looking into a bigger incubator for relatively soon. If you have an incubator and can’t wait I have eggs ready to ship weekly 🥰

My old faithful incubator with a simple turn knob for temp and no screen to tell me what it’s set to is doing the best. I hear babies in incubator 1!! 4 more days - yes the temp looks low I just opened the top to most and turn goose eggs that are on a different schedule it’ll pop right back up to temp shortly and no it was not 104 in there at any point that is a stat from defective incubator 3 that is no longer here I just never reset the Govee

Desensitized dogs are safe dogs 🖤🤎 introduce your dogs to stressors as often as possible

Working on recall and staying on heels in pairs today. All of the pups are doing great and little andy is the perfect distraction and they still do great

Let the pups out with the big dogs today to learn some valuable social skills. Out of the den time is so important for emotional and mental development. Introducing stimulating experiences while working on recall is crucial at a young age if you intend to have off leash dogs all of the pups are doing fantastic with staying on my heels and recalling when they’re out in twos.
