Thank you Poppy from for coming to the yard this morning. The ponies were weighed, condition scored and advice given to try over the next 12 weeks. Mally was convinced the weigh-bridge was actually grass so was happy stood on board. Amelia enjoyed learning about how Mally’s weight can be managed and some tips for helping her. She also enjoyed being weighed and recommended I went on to see how much chocolate I am allowed- I kindly declined Amelia’s offer! Mally is doing well considering her EMS and now to build a bit more muscle on her over the next few months.
I would definitely recommend a visit and we are looking forward to Poppy returning in 12 weeks for our next steps.

The best kids coat out there on a freezing cold morning not one moan of being cold! If only the mums could join the tribe but we are behind the camera shivering. Maybe we will be on Father Christmas’ good list and get the Mummy edition.

Exciting morning with Louis trying out the Welli saddle. Just watching Amelia looking more secure in her seat whilst riding made it very difficult to say no. Louis has worked with us to measure a saddle which will be perfect for this pair. Whilst trying to get Amelia’s input she just couldn’t take her eyes off the sparkle! Daddy might be having second thoughts about the pony life- sorry daddy!

Back at junior parkrun with a time of 11.44 after 10 weeks off! Hopefully we will get back in the swing of things and be on the way towards Amelia’s Ultra Marathon band. 5 weeks until the next triathalon too.

Lots of swimming this week in the beautiful weather. Some missing Choccie and Mally moments but I’m making the most of these mornings without the yard run and the roadworks on the way to school. So lucky we can be away and know Mally and Choccie are being looked after so well by and ❤️

7 wonderful years of you and we are so lucky to be celebrating together in paradise. I remember coming for my first cuddle when you were a few hours old ❤️ you are growing into such a kind, funny and sporty boy. Amelia loves having you as her cousin and we are so lucky to have you as our nephew.

Today was bring a friend along, Amelia loved Amelia and Mariella being there to join in all the fun. Lots more confidence at games today and Mealie trying things on the move more. Excited for next season with quite a few adventures already planned.

World Mental Health Day 🤍
Spending time with these two is my escape. Mally and Choccie are more than just ponies they are part of our family. Always there with a listening ear with no judgement. This weekend was just what I needed some time away and spending time outdoors. October is always a difficult month with lots of mixed emotions.

When the weather reporter says good weather this weekend, Mealie and Mally say hitch the trailer and head camping! Last minute plan to spend the weekend at Thetford for river swimming, xc hacking and living in the wild. We are lucky Daddy doesn’t put up too much resistance to our ideas especially when it’s his birthday weekend.

Herts Hunt Dry Tri ❤️
Mealie had a great day competing at the first tri of the season. She’s been working hard on her run and smashed it with a time of 2mins 30secs for 500m and lots more bean bags on the target than ever before! 2nd individually and medal for the fastest beanie run.
It was amazing to field our first Beanie team too from East Herts and together they were places 2nd.

These two are looking smart in their new kit and loved testing it out whist cantering across the New Forest fields at the weekend. We absolutely love Amelia’s balance reins which have helped her so much whilst developing her riding off the lead rein.

✨ Omega Shampoo Perfect ✨ Amelia has been lucky to put Omega’s Shampoo Perfect to the test today! Choccie has a bit of a reputation at the yard for getting so dirty he loves to roll in mud and poo so he’s the perfect customer. The first thing we noticed was the smell- it smells sooo good! Amelia even asked if she could use it tonight. We used it both diluted in a bucked and concentrated on his mane and tail and we are really impressed with the impact it had getting rid of the dirt and turning him back grey. It was a quick rinse out and then he dried sparkly whilst eating grass in the field.
