This adorable little guy is Grim Reaper. He's a 6month old neutered male mainecoon/manx mix. He was brought in as a feral little guy to find out he is blind. His vision loss doesn't affect his daily life other then him being a bit skittish. He loves everyone except dogs so a home without dogs is a must. He has high anxiety has has started to stress groom causing naked belly and back legs with scabs from bitting himself. His current home feels he would be a fabulous bit for a senior who's lonely looking for a lap kitty. An ideal home is a quiet home with older kids, no dogs and very friendly cats or no cats at all so he can get all the love and affection. He's a huge talker, wants to share with whatever your eating. His mom is our VP and is absolutely heart broken to let this guy go but she knows ita for his well being since her dogs scare the tar out of him and cause him anxiety. When locked in a room his stress comes down and he stops stress grooming but being locked in a room is not fair to him. If your interested please message us. This litter girl needs a foster soon! She is about to have kittens and her finder doesn't want her having them outside. Once she has her babies and get fixed the finder would love to have her back.

We have one special cat left to find a home for the new year❣️ She's spayed but can not be vaccinated as she had a bad reaction to a booster, so no rabies shots. She’s also litter box trained. She is as sweet as can be but needs to be only pet or in a home with pets who are very calm. Our vet said she's about 8-10 years old with an enlarged liver so she requires high protein foods with good protein fats. Also giving her a multivitamin would help. Our vet put her on 2 rounds of antibiotics in 4 months and it's helped her a lot. She will still have a great life full of love to give! She loves to cuddle but will bite if you touch her belly. Please consider bringing this sweet gal into your home❣️

Dalila is a cute dapple chihuahua and weiner dog mix that is only 3 yrs old. She is spayed and up to date on shots. She comes with her bed and cage. She is currently in the Greene County area.

As a reminder, please do NOT use blankets for outside animals. They get damp/wet and make it worse for them. Straw is best!

"HAY is for HORSES, STRAW is for STRAYS!" 😻

On your next trip to the garden center or farm store, pick up a bale of straw! It's inexpensive, will last you a long time and the perfect bedding for your cat shelters so the kitties stay warm and cozy overnight. Always use STRAW -- and here's why:

✅STRAW is tough, thick, dry leftover stalks from crops. It's lightweight and golden in color. Straw has a hollow center which makes for great insulation. Straw will reflect body heat back to a cat as well as repel moisture.

❎Hay is green and heavy. Hay is typically used to feed animals, like horses. It absorbs moisture, making it damp, cold and uncomfortable for cats and has the potential to get moldy. Do NOT use hay (or blankets) for bedding in outdoor cat shelters.

👉For an easy way to remember which to use…
"Hay is for Horses, Straw is for Strays."

You can easily find and buy bales of STRAW inexpensively at your local co-op, farm/ag supply store, local garden center/nursery, Home Depot, Lowe's, Tractor Supply, Ace Hardware or local landscape supply. Farmers who sell pumpkins often sell bales of straw, too.

This fella is in need of a new home. Born November 2019. He has had all his shots and is neutered. This well rounded good boy is house broke, great with everyone, loves car rides, and must be in an active household (example: walks are a must). He does not like baths but he does love being brushed and blow dried!

We have another litter of littles ready for their furever homes! The boys are sweet little gentlemen and their sister loves everyone but she wants to be a parrot and sit on your shoulder as you travel with her.lol Kevin is under vet care currently for a minor eye infection that will clear up pretty fast at our fosters, otherwise they are litter trained, shots & dewormed, and ready for adoption!

Hey all! We have some great kittens and a momma cat ready for their furever homes shortly! I’ll have a few more to post tonight as well!
Joyce (momma to the 8 wk olds) will be ready once spayed. She’s a real sweet lady once given time to warm up, especially with other cats and dogs. Adoption fee is that we ask for supplies to continue our rescue efforts, I’ll list it below.
Her daughters Susie and Angelica will be ready in 2 weeks, Aug 27th they will be 8wks. They have been given their shots and dewormed. Susie will be long hair and Angelica will be a medium short. All are litter box trained!

❤️If possible, we could use Purina Gentle cat food and Tidy Cat scoopable litter. It’s what we use the most and always in need of so we can continue our rescuing!

Next week we will once again be able to take in feral cats from members of the community (Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday 9am-11am). However, due to staffing issues, we will need to limit this number to NO MORE THAN 10 EACH DAY. We recommend you arrive on the early side and/or call first to make sure sure we haven't already reached the daily limit! 🐾

The FIX is IN clinic will be in Brazil on Aug. 20.

This low cost spay/neuter clinic is for cats ONLY, both owned and community cats. At the last one we hosted, 92 cats were spayed or neutered!!!

You MUST make an appointment. Appointments can be scheduled online at www.pub.vet .

Information regarding the location, cost, arrival and pick up time, as well as other services offered during the clinic are all online when you schedule your appt. If you need financial assistance, you will find that information there too. Kittens MUST be at least 6 weeks old.
