Dear Meatball,
When you choose to initiate snuggles with me and jump into the human sized dog bed, I feel like the luckiest person in the world. I feel a sense of peace like I never have before.

Before I was a dog trainer, I would pick a dog up or put it on me to cuddle. It was because I wanted the touch, not because the dog chose it. It wasn’t a two way connection.

Giving our dogs agency, choice and especially consenting to touch changes your relationship. I know Meatball wants to be close, he knows he always has an exit route and isn’t going to be kept there. I know we’re both calm because we are breathing slowly together. We regulate our emotions by being together in the still, silence of the nights and morning. It’s what I look forward to the most.

I know I love you and I know you love me.

🐾 Are you coming to DOGGIE DAY AT THE BRUNSWICK this Saturday? It's FREE ENTRY to a whole afternoon of fun, no tickets required. 🙌🏼

📆 Saturday 2nd September, 12pm - 4:30pm.

🎀 We’ll be hosting a doggie fashion show. (All dogs are welcome to take part on the day, and there will be cash prizes for the winners!)

🏆 We’ll also be hosting a doggie competition to give cash prizes for the waggiest tale, best paw shaker, most handsome and so much more.

🖌 2 caricature artists to be at the event all day to capture your dogs in their best light.

🍻 Riding House Café is serving a free doggie beer with every selected drink purchased.

☕ Starbucks UK will be offering free puppuccinos to visiting pooches.

🛍️ Keep your eyes peeled on the day for free doggie treats & goodie bags.

🦴 We’ll be joined by Waggy Den , Bew Dogs , Dogldn and PetLondon with some amazing doggie essentials including luxe leashes, toys, treats & accessories. (10% of takings will go to Guide Dogs UK)

📋 We’ll be joined by professional dog trainers That's so Fetch Training, Meatball Motel and Sam Neezer who will be roaming around the centre offering tips & advice, as well as hosting an exciting dog tricks exhibition.

Enrichment is about offering Dog’s and animals opportunities to use their natural instincts: from problem-solving to being creative.

There's a reason it's our most popular course! Taught by two qualified trainers in a small group, this four week course will equip you with the fundamental knowledge and training you need to thrive in the city with your dog. From topics such as enrichment and park etiquette to learning all the cues you need to navigate the city together.

We'll give you an insight into how our dogs communicate to us with their body language, how to pick up on stress signals and navigating the many environments you'll visit together in London and beyond. We've designed this course to be accessible, fun and a bond super-charger for Hackney pups.

THIS IS RIGHT FOR YOU IF:
🦴You are both new to training
🦴You have a puppy or dog under 2 years old
🦴You want to teach your dog the basics to thrive in the city from loose lead walking, recall, wait, stay, drop and much more
🦴You are looking for a small group with 1:1 attention and encouraging support
