Herbert, who is probably over 70 years old, was looking for a new home, so I couldn't resist! Fortunately, he was found in the city where one of my sons is studying, so he was able to bring him to The Teddy Bear Refuge when he visited.........unfortunately my son couldn't fit much else in his case! 😊

An operation is in progress today for Bertie....... his friends providing moral support! Bertie came to us with his head falling off and his arms attached by just threads. He's already had a gentle soap sud bath and is now having his limbs reattached so they all function again! 🤞

Oh dear, another little bear spotted at our local brocante......and I couldn't resist him. He's a 1950's mohair bear. His head no longer moves, his growler doesn't growl and his arms and legs are only just hanging on. Looking forward to giving him a new lease of life!

It's been a busy 6 months at The Teddy Bear Refuge.....a lot of rescues taking place over a very busy summer. We cycled to our local brocante on Saturday and were so lucky to find these four little bears. All will need a good clean and some minor repairs, but for now, they will be put into quarentine to make sure they are not bringing any little visitors into the house!
