I’m making the last batch of the Healing Mushroom Broth Kits! I’ll have 12pcs in stock.

Tomorrow 5/3 is our last market day with at Mountain’s Edge, then we will have a last sale in two weeks held at our home. We will be offering the last harvest of fresh mushrooms, remaining mushroom products, mycology supplies and equipment, and also some home goods and furniture. It’ll be a yard sale at our home farm, everything in the house will pretty much be for sale!

Today’s the day! We will have a super duper quick workshop in collaboration with our friends We will be displaying the lifecycle of edible fruiting fungi aka mushrooms. Anyone is more than welcome to visit us at our booth and talk all things fungi cultivation.

We are writing today to give notice, April-May will be our last months in operation. It’s been so wild sharing our mushroom farm adventure with each & every one of you.

Everyone may think we’re crazy (business is thriving more than ever yet we’re deciding to explore other things?) if we were in this just for the $ then yes it is damn crazy, yet we’re here to expand & experience all facets of life. We’re being Divinely pulled to dive into areas we have not yet explored.

People ask, what are your plans? For us at this point, we’ve learned it best to not have solid plans. We’ve tried, & each time, each plan has been slammed, we have a knowing that the Universe asks us to trust & be more fluid more than ever. To surrender to what it has planned. So we’re taking the dive, into the great unknown, into our own separate Journeys.

Chet will continue his Journey diving deeper into what he loves, being an easy-going, lighthearted, funny, entrepreneurial spirited, car-loving, outdoorsy adventure-driven soul, super exciting!

(Little tidbit, we actually had an outdoor accessories brand prior to diving into the world of fungi, the account is still up, check it out )

I (Myrene) will be going on a solo sabbatical, contemplating if I may continue posting here thereafter, the happenings in my future life will still be mushroom related, that I know! So we shall see what feels right & it will be done.

There are amazing local mushroom farms that continue to provide the freshies


I’m a big believer that to be in alignment, it must feel that everything I do is comparable to being a wild river, I am flowing with the wild beautiful turbulence yet I feel a sense of belonging, not the feeling of pushing a boulder up a mountain, there is a reason why plans of selling the business have fallen through so perhaps there is a reason that I am being guided to keep the brand, I don’t know why, yet I trust that the answers will be shown. So yes, I am keeping the website. For why? We will find out!

A mushroom non-eater turned to weekly mushroom cooker/enjoyer now turned to a mushroom grower. He says he was hesitant in growing, yet he’s rocking it, it’s getting hyoooj! Almost ready for harvest. Vegetable Mushroom stir fry all day errrrday. A quick 7min meal, for you busy bees, and us alike. We like to enjoy with basmati rice, or substitute with a carb of your choice.

Hit up for the freshest locally grown produce, here featuring their snow peas, green onions, and shish*to peppers.

Recipe:
8oz mushroom mix
Choice of veggies
Mushroom stiry fry sauce

Dry sauté mushrooms
-Add hand torn mushrooms into hot pan
-Add oil once the mushrooms release water
-Reduce to medium low heat and cook mushrooms until golden brown, about 5mins while occasionally stirring.

Add veggies
Add mushroom stir fry sauce and about 1-2Tbsps of water, and mix
Adjust to your taste

And that’s it!

We learned that Ganoderma sessile (aka Reishi/Antler Reishi) is a fast polysaccharide producer among Ganoderma species. Polysaccharides have shown to have immuno-stimulating and anti-tumor properties. Besides anti-tumor and immune enhancing effects of polysaccharides in mushrooms, research has also shown polysaccharides to have antibiotic and antiviral properties. Well ain’t that something?

Superrr stoked! these Nevada Blue Oysters lookin’ nice and plump. I am just finding out the Japanese name for Oyster mushrooms is Hiratake.

And then I had the need to translate to Tagalog, and although this translation is not commonly used, (Filipinos call it Oyster mushrooms too) Oyster mushrooms in Tagalog is Talabang Kabute. Pronounced as Talah-bang kah-boo-teh
The more you know, the more confused you get to be. 😆

💭 But also the more you know, the more you stretch your perspectives. What may cause you to feel confused and uncomfortable at first will lead to increased awareness. The more awareness we have, we get to understand the bigger picture, leading to a subtract in polarity and duality from our initial world lens. Stretch your mind and inner peace will follow. Hey guys! We just wanted to let everyone know that we won’t be at the Henderson market today and possibly July. We can’t grow the mushrooms fast enough and need to gather energy and find balance to re-organize our next step in growing more. The heat has been brutal to the mushrooms and it’s been challenging to keep them fresh even inside a cooler, the timing just worked out and made sense to take a break from the market for now. We are still doing deliveries/pick-up from online orders.

With all of that said, we’d like to add that we are seeking a team member to help us around the farm, if you or know anyone interested in learning to grow and operate a small mushroom farm from the ground up, send us a DM and we’ll send you more info about the position. Or you can also just send over an outline of your work experience, a quick intro about yourself and why you’d like to work with us to: [email protected] and cc: [email protected]

*growing mushrooms is cool and fascinating but one thing we will say up front, it requires a S**T TON OF CLEANING, patience, and attention to detail, really. Get ready to get your hands dirty and sweaty because it’s reality. We provide the best protective gear to work around the grow room, and lab but if you have skin or respiratory sensitivities, it may not be the best career choice for the long-term, working in areas with microscopic spores and exposure to 70% isopropyl rubbing alcohol in our sterile areas may be an issue for some with high sensitivities. We like to be transparent and are looking for a member that would most benefit from this position in terms of learning and growth. Looking forward to hearing from you, we are super stoked! Tarragon Oyster Mushroom is quite a rare oyster mushroom as it is not commercially cultivated by mega farms. It is thought to only be found growing in the British Isles. This wild fella was originally from the ancient woodlands surrounding Richmond Castle (North Yorkshire, Britain) and was found growing on a large fallen Beech tree. Now they’re growing in our mushroom grow house for all you amazing Souls to enjoy.

As its name suggests, its smell and taste resembles the herb tarragon, making it probably one of the finest tasting oyster mushroom there is. Texture is quite fragile and easily crumbles when raw, and then builds up to an amazing decadent bite once cooked.

The Golden Oyster, a tasty addition to any meal. It’s highly recommended to cook thoroughly. If undercooked, the mushroom can be bitter and off-putting. However, if cooked for a sufficient amount of time, a balanced “nutty” flavor develops almost like cashews. The mushroom can be cooked until it is crispy, with the tiny flaky caps acting as a substitution for crispy bits similar to bacon. Please note that the brilliant yellow color dulls during cooking and is replaced with a golden brown color.
