Fritz the Dachshund is a giant balloon that appeared in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. He's the first dog balloon to ever appear in the parade. ⁣

The balloon only appeared in two parades in 1932 and 1933 and would retire after the latter year. Fritz was one of the first balloons to have a built-in sound unit, which made a barking noise from the balloon itself.
