📌Important herb information for bunnies! 🌱
Often times we recommend starting bunnies off with herbs as treats instead of fruits & veggies. It just seems gentler on their sensitive digestive systems. ✨
I love using clean products in my home and I think it’s awesome to do the same with our pets. Here are some safe options with useful ways to include them in rabbit care! Please note that this is not a substitute for veterinary care, but in addition to, with the approval of your bunny’s provider. ❤️
•Basil - mild pain reliever, helps prevent infections, good for coat & skin
•Cilantro - helps with digestion, reduces UTI symptoms, reduces stress
•Chamomile - calming; also reduces pain, inflammation, & fever
•Dandelion greens - aid in digestion & prevent heart disease
• Echinacea - boosts immune system
• Fennel - reduces gas, helps with respiratory illness
• Mint - helps with joint pain, digestion, fever, & UTI symptoms
• Goldenseal - anti inflammatory & natural antibiotic
• Kava - helps with stress & anxiety
• Oregano - immune boosting, anti inflammatory, & anti microbial
• Lavender - anti fungal, immune boosting, local anesthesia when applied topically
