⭐️Meet the staff Monday⭐️ featuring our other amazing assistant, Lauren! Lauren has been with us since March 2023 and is Dr. Forster's riding partner. Here's some facts about Lauren:

1) What is your favorite part about your job? Honestly, giving our patients’s owners peace of mind. Having the clients trust us to come into their homes and take care of their pets is a big deal and it means a lot.

2)What is your favorite thing about working on this team? All of it is my favorite. I work with a great team! All of us help each other out whenever it is needed. The love is strong in this group of ladies.

3) What do you like most about being mobile? I love being about to see the outside! It’s like being on a mini road trip each day!

4) What is a fun fact about you? I’m a huge trivia buff! I love learning the most random facts about things! Any kind of random knowledge I am down for.

5) Where are you from? Just over the river you might say. I grew up in Augusta, Ga.

6) Do you have any pets? Yes, I have 3 dogs, 1 cat, 4 chickens, and 2 fish.

7) What are your hobbies outside of work? Is sleeping a hobby? Just kidding! I really just love spending time at home with my family. It is my happy place.

8) f you were a dog, what breed would you be? Or would you be a cat? I think I would be a cat. I love you but just let me be. 😉

9) What’s the best place you’ve traveled to? Colorado. The air is just different there and I loved just looking at all the mountains. I felt like I could breathe there.

⭐️Meet the Staff Monday⭐️ featuring one of our awesome assistants, Jamie! Jamie has been with FAV since June 2023 so she may be familiar to you (especially our Georgia folks!). Here's Jamie's answers to our fun questionnaire:
1) What is your favorite part about your job? Being able to see scared/nervous or elderly pets more comfortable in their own homes with our mobile/in-home services.

2) What is your favorite thing about working on this team? My favorite part about working with the FAV team is that we are all very close knit group of girls.

3) What do you like most about being mobile? I love being mobile because we get to meet the whole family at vet visits and get a really close bond with our clients and patients.

4) What are your hobbies outside of work? Watching our 4 kids play sports, weekends watching UFC, and of course cuddling with my 3 dogs and kitty.

5) What is a fun fact about you? I was born in France and speak fluent French 🇫🇷

6) Where are you from? I am from France, moved to America as a young kid and was raised in NH then traveled to SC, TN, and GA being a military wife.

7) Do you have any pets? I have 2 Boston terriers named Gina and Guapo, a Frenchie named Walter, and kitty cat named Susan.

8) If you were a dog, what breed would you be? Or would you be a cat? I feel like I'd have to be an English bulldog, I love naps and snacks!

9) What’s the best place you’ve traveled to? Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 the castles and highland cows are my favorite part.

Happy Monday!😄 Over the next few Mondays we're going to feature a FAV team member so you guys can get to know us better. Today we're going to start with Dr. Jena Forsythe! Dr. Jena joined our team April 2024. Here are some fun questions and her answers:
1) What is your favorite part about your job? Meeting and helping a variety of animals all over the region.

2) What is your favorite thing about working on this team? The traveling and working with hard working and caring people.

3) What do you like most about being mobile?The ability to see and help pets in their natural habitat so I can help them better and give them a higher quality of life.

4) What are your hobbies outside of work? Chillin' with my critters. Forever a student: learning new things. Rehabilitate wildlife.

5) What is a fun fact about you? I got peed on by a lemur once and helped spay a lion. Cuddled with a wolverine.

6) Where are you from? The mountains of Pennsylvania.

7) Do you have any pets? 2 dogs (featured in the second photo!) and 2 cats

8) If you were a dog, what breed would you be? Or would you be a cat? I'd be a racoon! 🦝

9) What’s the best place you’ve traveled to? Madagascar

10) Where did you go to vet school? MSU CVM

Squirrel went missing in the Buckwalter area. He is an indoor only cat and is not used to being outside. Please call or text the owner at 570-856-8151 if you see him. His owners miss him very much!

We hope everyone is ready for Christmas! Just a reminder we will be closed tomorrow (Tuesday, 12/24), Wednesday, 12/25, and Thursday, 12/26 and will re-open at normal business hours on Friday, 12/27.

If you have an emergency or your pet needs to be seen during the holidays, please contact either New River Veterinary Specialists in Hardeeville or Carolina Veterinary Critical Care in Bluffton.

Christmas is almost here 🎄 Here are a list of our holiday closures. If you need any medications called in before we're closed for Christmas, please let us know by Friday.

Help us bring Christmas to the dogs in our shelter.

The kennels are no place for a dog to spend the holidays, but we are determined to make it special for those sweet snoots who are patiently waiting for their foster or forever homes.

With a $20 donation, you can donate a stocking full of toys and a special Christmas dinner (with all of the dog-friendly fixins') to one of the 50 dogs in our facility.

We want to make sure they know that spending the holidays in the shelter is temporary - just a step towards a home for the holidays. And for now, Renegade is their family.

Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors knows the importance of family and they've offered to match all additional donations up to $1,000. We are so grateful for their support.
