So we’ve had so much happen in the last two weeks! Dotti birthed 7 beauties on December 14 but developed a terrible uterine infection at 3 days postpartum. She wasn’t acting like herself and was running a fever of 105. She required emergency surgery immediately. It was during surgery that the vet discovered an 8th kitten that wasn’t fully formed which was causing her infection. Dotti needed to be kept away from her kittens for a minimum of 3 days to ensure the infection wouldn’t affect her babies. So I’ve been caring for them round the clock in her absence. The day she was allowed to reintroduce to her babies, she still wasn’t up for it. It was 6 days of recovery for her before she finally started trying to nurse one or two kittens at a time. It’s been hard for her, but I’m happy to say she has taken back all 7 babies and is feeling back to herself again. 🥰

Dotti’s litter - 7 beautiful rosetted babies, born December 14.
We have 4 browns and 3 silvers! These babies will be ready for their new homes in March 2021.

Well Dotti gave me a little birthday surprise today - We are at 5 beautiful rosetted babies! Looks to be 3 silver and 2 brown. More pics to come. These babies will be ready for a good home in March!

Kittens got their first round of vax today. I couldn’t get little silver girl in the picture, just the two boys. They’re due back for the second round in 3 weeks. The vet techs were all kitten smitten 😻

Kittens are now 6 weeks old and have finally found the cat tower. Bengals are a very active breed and love to climb things. Dotti’s favorite place to be is on top of a door 🤷‍♀️
