exciting times today! after 2 years of trying with pythons, a failed clutch and numerous failed pairings we finally have a success story! our first pip from 5 healthy python eggs at day 55!

after quite a long time without updates we have a very exciting one to show! our first clutch of royal pythons landed today. she gave us 7 eggs with 3 slugs and 4 healthy strong veined eggs. just a tortuous wait to go now! 😂😂

this little lad is doing amazing, been smashing food since hatching. had 8 meals so far and has been tong feeding since the 3rd! about ready to list him online and find him a new home

finally!! two of our eggs made it. both are anaconda morph hognose. this is the female all shed out and looking amazing

seeing a lot of this going on at the moment, judith has also refused her last two meals and refused to lock last week, hopefully we will be lucky enough for eggs from them both this year 🤞

Thought we should probably share an update on the hognose egg situation. Ended up with 10 eggs, 4 slugs, and 3 weren't quite fully formed and quickly moulded in the incubator. Left with these three, well... Two and a bit 🤣 the two normal sized eggs have large healthy veins upon candling, the tiny thing is fully calcified, nice and plump, and appears to have a (to scale) embryo and small set of veins as of 3 days ago. God knows if this little thing will make it but I'm so curious to see if it does and what comes out!

There we go, it begins! We found a slug yesterday morning and then nothing for the rest of the day. Then woke up to this pearly white, she's still very chunky so hopefully the rest will follow 🤞🤞

So, this girl is going into her second shed cycle in under a month. Successful brumation, post brumation shed, two confirmed locks and now going into blue again. We're thinking this is her pre lay shed and we might have eggs in the near future 🤞🤞🤞

Been far too long since we posted anything so thought we would introduce you to our newest member of the household we adopted last week, meet Steve the 7 year old carpet python. Was a bit neglected when we got him but a week of proper care and husbandry and he's coming round!

Went into the spare room to check on the trio in quarantine and change their paper after a few ate a couple of days ago. Freda was wide awake and took up the kill pose the instant she saw me 🤣 I think I'll let her calm down before I change her later 🤣

Absolutely blown away with how quickly things are growing here with our family. Feom 900-1000 followers in just over a week! Got a fresh skin on maude this morning so had to show her off again. I love her patterning, gorgeous dorsal stripe and that spotting on the sides just gets better as she grows!
