❤️ MOLLY is HOME! ❤️

Our sweet Molly is finally out of quarantine and already enjoying family time, as well as the Swedish outdoors. We couldn't be happier and are incredibly grateful to everyone who made this possible! 🥰

We would also like to send a big shout out to the staff at the quarantine centre, who have so wonderfully cared for Molly for these long 4 months. It was really reassuring to know she was in good hands, so thank you! 🙏

I am so happy to announce that WE MADE IT! We raised enough donations to pay for Molly's quarantine, and she is going home on the 19th March!
THANK YOU so so sooo much to each and everyone of you, it's really heartwarming to see how you refused to give up on dear Molly, and how we actually made it against all odds!

Background
Molly was confiscated by the customs authorities when she was arriving to Sweden from Ethiopia because her papers were not in order. The only solution was to place her in quarantine for 4 months, which comes at a very high cost (that her family cannot cover).
A lot of extremely kind people have already donated and for that we are forever grateful. Her family (and a few close supporters) have also put in all they can, but it is still not enough. Please help!!

Nu har Molly suttit tre månader i karantän på Arlanda och hon har bara en månad kvar innan hon blir fri! Varken blodprov eller veterinärbesök har visat på några problem och vi längtar efter att snart få hem henne. Människor har varit så givmilda och gett så mycket till Molly. Vi är oändligt tacksamma och positivt överraskade! Men det saknas fortfarande nästan 25,000 kronor. Det är mycket pengar, men tänk om vi snart kan nå målet! Många bäckar små…

Lite bakgrund: Molly har bott med sin svenska familj i Etiopien i ungefär fem år. Hon har fått betyda så mycket för barnen och många andra, då hon kom att bli en trygghet och nära vän under omtumlande perioder. Hon är så lyhörd och kärleksfull och älskad. I november behövde familjen evakuera från Etiopien, då inbördeskriget snabbt blivit värre. De trodde att Mollys papper och pass var i sin ordning, så hon följde med dem hem till Sverige. Men på Arlanda blev Molly till deras förtvivlan stoppad, då ett datum blivit fel i hennes vaccinationspapper. Familjen kunde välja mellan att avliva Molly, eller placera henne i en fyra månaders karantän (som skulle kosta ungefär 80,000 kr). Mycket generösa människor ville vara med och betala för karantänen för att rädda Molly.

Now Molly has been quarantined at Arlanda for three months and there’s only one month left before she is released! Her blood tests and veterinary visits have confirmed she is healthy, and we cannot wait to get her home soon. People have been so generous and given so much to Molly… we are infinitely grateful! But we are still missing almost SEK 25,000, so every bit helps…

A little background: Molly has lived with her Swedish family in Ethiopia for about five years. She is deeply loved, and has given so much love back, having became a close friend and support to the children in her community, specially during the recent turbulent periods. In November, the family had to evacuate from Ethiopia, as the civil war got worse. They thought Molly's paperwork and passport were in order, so she accompanied them home to Sweden. But to their despair, Molly was stopped at Arlanda because a date was wrong in her vaccination records. The family could choose between putting Molly down, or placing her in a four-month quarantine (which would cost about SEK 80,000). The family could not pay that amount themselves, but very generous people wanted to join and support the quarantine costs to save Molly.
A good part of the needed funds has been raised but we are still missing around SEK 25.000 to make sure this story has a happy ending. Hi everyone! I'm Molly and I need your help...
I was born in Ethiopia and after being abandoned by my first "owners", I was adopted by a really nice family and have been very happy since. But in the last year things took a turn for the worst.. besides the pandemic that has affected so many humans around me, a war started in Ethiopia, my family's home got flooded and a lot of people and humans died. Fortunately my family and I made it out safely, but things have been tough after that and we have been moving around a lot. When we came to Sweden in late November and thought we could finally take a deep breath... it turned out that there was a mistake in my paperwork, and so the custom authorities said I don't fulfil the conditions to be "imported" into Sweden and have placed me in a 4-month long quarantine. Besides missing my family a lot, this quarantine is extremely expensive and the only way I can go back to my family is if they are able to pay for the full costs. They love me very much but unfortunately this is more than what they can afford. So please help me get back to my family! You can read more about my story in this link:
