Class definitions

Junior under age 15
Student/Trainee currently in training less than 1 year experience
Model Dog - virgin and experienced – virgin not done a model before
Beginner under 2 years’ experience
Intermediate more than 2 years but not more than 5 years’ experience
Open over 5 years’ experience and no first placings in the same category you are entering.
Champion for all other level of experience.

Creative, cat grooming and any other animal classes are open to all.

The committee reserve the right to move any entry in the wrong class. Please ensure you enter the correct class, or your entry may be void.

General Rules

Photos may be used from previous online grooming competitions.
Please ensure your dog is stacked to its advantage.
NO photoshopping or filters are allowed.
Photos should be of high quality in good light.
Asian, student, junior, creative and all other animals’ photos are required of before any work is carried out and after grooming and/or styling.
Photos are required BEFORE AND AFTER of front, rear, overhead view, both sides, head and tail.
Model dog only finished photo required from all previously mentioned angles.
Reptile, one photo required of the full animal, winners are judged on the quality of the photo.

!!!!!! There is a special guest judge for Best Photo in Show award which will be selected from all 1st place winners !!!! – please include a relaxed photo of you and your subject alongside the ones required for class judging.

Colouring is allowed with animal safe products only, no lightening dark coloured coats.
All animals must be groomed with welfare procedures at all times
All animals must be groomed according to Covid secure guidelines within your area.

The judge’s decisions are final.
Feedback will be available for all dog classes including model dog and creative. There is no feedback for cats, any other animal or reptile photo.
You may ask your judges for feedback in your private class group, please be courteous, please
