Spark Mill Agility & Hoopers Hoopers and agility training
Group lessons or 1-2-1 instruction Hoopers is a new dog activity which is growing rapidly in popularity.
(1)

It is low impact with no sharps twists & turns, which makes it ideal for dogs of all ages. Handlers do not have to be fit or fast, in fact extra points can be gained for not running (how cool is that?)!! Fantastic for building a great bond with you dog & helping your dog to focus on you. Come along & discover how wonderful the relationship between you & your dog can be. Most importantly come along & have fun in the fresh air and escape from reality for a while.

OK, so I've had a few weird page likes & some dodgy messages on this page since I started posting videos regularly & it's made me think that posting the videos in a public group is perhaps not a great idea.
Anyway, I am enjoying making them & it's definitely helping me to train more regularly, so I have created a group.
You are all most welcome to join. It just means I have more control over who can see the videos.
Hopefully this link will work 🤞🤞

I have given up trying to upload longish videos to FB. It's too difficult.😡
I've saved to YouTube instead (link below).
It's not terrifically exciting, just transferring hand touch to target in preparation for training contacts.
Best bit is when I move the target & she doesn't realise, so nose touches where it was 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

I thought I would use this page to record Mavis’s agility journey. I’m going to upload our training (when I remember), so I have all of the videos in one place.
Feel free to watch share, or unfollow depending on your interest.
They won’t be instructional videos, just a record of our progress…….or lack of. 😂😂😂

Great advice.

I have been asked if I will do a Silver Good hoopers award, so was wondering if there is anyone else who has done their Bronze good hoopers award want to do Silver?
The criteria can be found on this link.

For all of you who think that everyone else's dog is better than yours, or that everyone else is a better trainer than you.
Have a watch of this.

Kerry & Zii showing that agility dogs really do love hoops.
Only their second go at a full course.
Nailed it 👏

Jasper is a young lad who also does agility. The two activities really compliment each other, hoops let’s him learn new skills without the impact of jumping.

Bonnie has retired from agility, but she still needs to keep busy and she does love her hoops.

Thought the page needed a few spots.
Last week Reva came for her first hoopers lesson.
One day she will do agility like her big Sister Florrie, but for now she is learning all the moves.
I just know she is going to be a super star.

Crikey practising her rear crosses.
This is something we need to work on for our agility, so what better way than with hoops?
I love hoops 🥰

Today we practiced rear crosses. This is something we need to improve in our agility training and hoops is the perfect way to clarify it before adding to jumps.
I love hoops. 😍
