It is with the heaviest heart to announce that our beloved Stitch “Big Blue, Snort Snort,” Chunka Chunk Doshier has passed on, after only 5 short years. Stitch passed away late evening of July 14th, or early morning of July, 15, 2024. Sadly, due to other events taking place, we aren’t 100% sure. We waited to make this news public until we could notify all of our kids, and past clientele (if i overlooked you in personally notifying you, my sincerest apologies, I did my best given the circumstances.)
We believe Stitch passed away from stress on his heart due to the stress that has taken place within our marriage.
Without going into too many personal details from the night before his passing, we believe his heart could no longer take witnessing the turmoil between his parents, and he sacrificed himself for the madness to stop.
Stitch was the most faithful companion I have had the pleasure of knowing. My dream dog. Our first French bulldog. Jays first gift to me (for my 28th birthday.) Mine, and Jays first baby together. The start to mine and Jays family, together. Jay couldn’t have chose a better French Bulldog for us (which I almost missed out on). When the time came , to pick up Stitch from Laura, I almost chose his brother from his litter because he was “the runt,” and it tugged on my heart strings. As Stitch continued to maintain eye contact with me and strut his stuff, my intuition told me he was the “one.” And it wasn’t wrong.
From our first night together, and sleeping on my chest and around my neck, you always made me feel safe and needed in a way I’ never knew until you. You were the reason for us to decide on expanding our frenchie family. I’ll never forget the day Jay and I discovered Lilo and knowing instantly she was meant for you, and us. It was the greatest gift we ever gave to you, because you two were meant for one another from the moment you two met for the first time. Everything was so perfect. The love you two have/had for one another was the backbone to starting Chunka Chunk Bullies.
Stitch knew no stranger, he gave the best snuggles, and always demanded more when you stopped. He always made you feel safe and loved, because he was a big blue teddy bear in life form. He was the gentlest soul and could make you laugh without any effort.
From his eyes, to his color, to his stance (with the perfect top line I might add,) to his rope and his little nubbins, Stitch was perfect in every way.
Your howls (that only a mother and father could tolerate) that would ring out upon arriving home, or if you weren’t included in every moment, are deeply missed. Watching you, Lilo and Dozzer play together are some of the greatest memories we will cherish. The laugh you would give us every time you trotted around the yard like a hippo when you were handling your business is a comedic memory that will never die. The love and devotion you would show like clockwork for your father to arrive home every day, rallying up the pack from 5pm on, to wait by the front door until Jay would come through it, means so much more now that you are no longer here. You gave, and gave, and gave all of your heart to myself, Jay and our kids. The mental images of you with your mittens hanging from your mouth, or sitting with your “Scrump” (before Lilo demolished it) will forever live on in our hearts.
Your memory and all the adventures we embarked on in your short life together, will always be some of my most cherished stories to share with others. I’d love to share some of those with all of you now, through some pictures and video attached of our boy.
Stitch is survived by his mother Elisa, and father, Milo, his true love, Lilo “Mama, Queen Lilo,” Chunka Chunk Doshier, and dear friend, Dozzer “Squishy Face” Chunka Chunk Doshier, his Chunka Chunk babies, the humans that helped bring stitch into this world, Laura, and Ed Gauger with Gaugers Little Bullies, his human family: Crystal, Jay, Jax, Ruby and Zander.
Give our love to Gizzmo, and Avani “Red Merle, Red Queen”Chunka Chunk Doshier for us, baby. We hope to meet you all again.
May you rest in the purest peace, and love, Stitch.
Gone, but NEVER forgotten, we will always love you, son. 🌈 🪽✨
