She has all of her shots and a micro chip. She comes with her kennel, toys, collar, leash and food!

With heavy hearts we must share .
After a-sudden and drastic turn of events for the worst Evie has passed.

This would have happened regardless and there was little we could do. 

Evie had a chance to FaceTime her handler and passed directly after we laid hands on her and prayed over her and her body/ the clinic .

The other dogs in our home are not Activley I’ll far as we know .. they’re vaccinated and will hopefully not become I’ll. We have a long road ahead of us for sanitization and preventative care.

They spend thier lives serving us; how can we serve them in return? We really don’t deserve dogs 😩❤️ they are so selfless and we should be greatful for them daily 🙌

Kelsey the Golden Retriever is being hailed a hero for saving her owner’s life. Bob ventured into the woods to get firewood and slipped and fell breaking his neck. He lay there paralyzed screaming for help in the cold snow and dark night.

If you have the dogs you might as well just give them back.

I am warning every vet within an undisclosed radius that they’re missing.

You won’t be able to take them anywhere for vet care if you try to keep them.

These dogs are medical alert dogs for complex trauma survivors and I refuse to stop looking . I will turn the whole town upside down until they are returned.

We had a HUGE HUUUGE scare yesterday and we are SO shaken up !

The pups were playing in the yard and I went in to make lunch. We have a clear view of the back yard so they’re supervised..

My back was turned for no more than 5
Mins when I heard a loud yelping noise.

I looked out and it (appeared) EVIE and KILO were in a dog right with eachother. It looked as if kilo was in her back and locked into Evies throat.

I sprinted outside screaming for Nathan and we started to try to separate them.

I scruffier Kilo and was shouting for her to let go of Evie, (drop it , leave it, wrong, freeze) it didn’t make sense to me that her jaws would be latched onto her littermate like this and she that wouldn’t let go. It isn’t typical of Germans to do this for long if at all.

That is when we realized that Evies MARTINGALE colar was bound around kilos lower jaw (freak accident while playing) and it was stuck.

The worst part is it was killing Evie. The colar was so tight we almost didn’t save her.

Nate brought me kitchen scissors and I went to work freeing Evies neck .. it was so tight I almost could not get the scissors between her neck and the colar.

As you can see we cut it and I saved her just in time but I can’t stress this enough…

DO NOT USE MARTINGALES WITH PUPPIES OR ON DOGS PUPPIES ARE AROUND..

Of course after this incident, I started doing research and was horrified to find that this is a thing ..and has happened to many dogs and they have actually died from it.

I purchased the collars because they’re easy to bring the pups along with you so they can’t slip backwards out of them.

I’ve used them in training for years on my own personal dogs.

I will not be using these again.

How incredibly scary !

We are so grateful that they are here with us. As of this morning Evie is fine she’s not showing any signs of hypoxia or strangulation after effects.

Tell your friends!! These things are dangerous! You can save a life !

We are out enjoying the nice fresh air today and running hard on the lawn. We have the puppy pool and sprinklers set up 🙂

There have been a lot of questions about donations and what the puppies need the most help with..

They have everything execept for thier boosters and microchips, once they have these they can start classes over that the training facility. We want to start them this weekend.

We will accept a gift card we can use to pay for vet work on.

We will also accept prepayments to the vet.

Update !

We are sleeping through the night and have had VERY few accidents. We are EXTREMELY attached to Kim, and have been doing a great job of showing signs of submission and progress on training,

The three biggest things we are working on is not barking loudly the second we go out to go potty, playing nicely with others and submission.

Superstar was exhausting for the girls but they were happy to get acclimated to their new space. We had a very good night, bathtime went super well, they got treated for fleas, ticks and ear mites,plus got dewormed. They slept well with no accidents and played very well with their new housemates today.

Yesterday we stopped out to Superstar Service Dogs in Mount Vernon for the first time. The puppies were Weighed and inspected. unfortunately kilos right leg seems to be a bit injured and we think that she was kicked. If anyone has information on Evie in Kilo’s previous owners please let us know.

We are going to be informing animal welfare about the physical abuse.

Besides from that they took well to the team but we’re very clearly terrified. We are just waiting on their first rounds of shots and then they will start classes.

Kilo is definitely the more docile of the two, but EV is also extremely affectionate.

Yesterday was an interesting day yes indeed. In the wee hours of the morning we received a phone call about these two sweet girls, they were in desperate need of rehabilitation after being dumped and abused.

The kind soul who rescued them and held them until we could arrive had shared several very important details about them .

These sweet girls are currently in our care in Cedar Rapids.

They have been through initial physical and behavioral screenings at Superstar Service Dogs in Mount Vernon.

These dogs were absolutely afraid for their lives but have passed their initial temperament screenings..

We have determined the following :

Kilimanjaro (Kilo) - Dark Female - 35 lbs
Contusion right thigh, scars all over her belly.

Everest (Evie) - Light Female -40lbs
Bite marks on face, overall good health.

It is get these dogs and Ended up where they are..

Not only have they formed a pack of two but they are highly traumatized. We are already seeing positive changes in them yet this morning.
