🐾Thank you to everyone who came out to play, volunteer, and cheer everyone on at our 3rd Annual Phil Zacharatos Agility Trial!

An extra special thank you to our judges Rob Struthers and Kirsten Locke.🐾And Sheri Grantham and Sarah Harman Challenger for their fast course building, plus Kim Collin’s for being the Trial Controller.

The weather more than cooperated (although it was hotter than usual for a May first weekend) and the teams got to show off all of their hard work. We had 102 qualifying runs.🏆 plus we gave out some big awards for title winners!!

Special congratulations go out to Cheryl Drewitz for winning Kirsten’s judges choice award and Bethany ahead for Rob’s judges choice award!! And John Coelho for winning the clubs Goofiest Folkies award!!

We would love to have any and all photos you may have taken this weekend to add to our website and page.

Video is of Belle on her first run on Saturday. It was hot and she was moving sluggishly but still had fun which is all that matters to me. Thank Jane Halas for videoing.

Puppy Life Essentials (REGISTRATION OPEN NOW)

Dates: Wednesdays: April 29, May 6, 13, 20 & 27
Time: 5:15 pm to 6:15 pm

**PUPPIES MUST HAVE 2 SETS OF SHOTS**

In this class, puppies will learn essential life skills as they build confidence and bond with you. This is a family friendly class; puppies will learn:

🐕Leash Skills,
🐕Go-to-Place,
🐕Recalls,
🐕Stays,
🐕Hand and Foot Targeting,
🐕Come-into-heel,
🐕and lots more.

Description:​ These skills will focus on building confidence while learning life skills for both a companion or sporting dog future. This class is a helpful part of any dog's early training. If you plan to enter into dog sports with your new puppy, this class will set them up for success. ​

Puppies will have brief opportunities to socialize in an appropriate and safe way in each class.

Prerequisite: 4 months old, proof of 2 vaccinations, and under 10 months old

Interested in starting Rally Obedience? We have just the class for you starting next week! Check out our Introduction to Rally Obedience!

Dates: Thursdays, April 16, 23, May 7, 14, and 21
Time: 5:30 to 6:30 pm

An obedience class for dogs and their humans that builds on basic training skills and brings those skills together. This class is perfect for young dogs who have completed Puppy Skills and Manners, however, any dog at any age is welcome. We use only positive training methods to encourage dogs in the learning process. We will be using the framework of Rally Obedience so this class is also a great starting place for anyone interested in pursuing the dog sport of Rally Obedience.

Dogs will learn:
Heeling
Stays
Watch me
Turning while heeling
Sits, downs and stands, all while in heel

There is a great deal of precision in these behaviors. All dogs can benefit from learning obedience skills but the biggest benefit is the bonding experience and fun you and your dog will have together.
