My girl absolutely worked her heart out today, picking up all day on over 100 bird bag. For a girl who struggles with anything to do with steadiness this really pushed her and made her (and me!) think about where the birds were landing and prioritising any runners.

Unfortunately Ly had to be a bit of a by-stander today as the birds that were coming down were bigger than her, but she locked onto a fair few and watched them drop so we'll take the training win for her.

So I've been a little quiet on here lately, life, short days and too many things on the to do list. We're out shooting a few days this year, due to the lack of birds we're focusing more on upping our competition distance and getting some decent miles in this year canicross instead.

Sunday saw us tackle our first 10 miler, and I don't know what I was worried about she kept pulling from the first mile to the last and then sat there waiting to hold her well earnt bling

18 weeks old and little Lyra had her first day on the job today with Ffion, a break away from the farm for a few hours which was greatly needed for head space.

She was rather confused as to why her mum was allowed to chase the birds when she's not allowed to chase the chickens 🤣 but some good focus work, lots of sniffer time and not fussed by the guns at all 👌

Ffion on the other hand, had a blast clearing the heavy cover and even managed to listen to the whistle a couple of times 🙈

Can't believe this little girl and her litter mates are 12 weeks old tomorrow 😱 where the heck has that gone.

We are currently learning that chickens are to be watched and not chased, the face says it all about what she thinks of that 🥰

9 weeks and 2 days after giving us our gorgeous litter and our canicross season has begun with a bang!

Thats the face of someone who's just dragged a very unfit owner around a rather hilly course!!

Hopefully we will get some fresh pictures of us in very unshapely action.

For now it's back to training and hitting those trails ready for the next

So yesterday I dropped our big lad off after his last night with us, safe to say he's settled!! After a few moments of hiding behind me in the garden he soon found his feet with his big sister 🥰

So 8 week weight check

Rudi 220g to 3kg
Indie 210g to 2.65kg
Lyra 190g to 2.45kg
Rosie 200g to 2.35kg

The last 8 weeks have been full of fun, stress, sleepless nights and A LOT of puppy poo 😂🙈

So I've completely neglected this page recently, but our adventures haven't slowed down at all. Here's my cracking mum and daughter dream team dragging me round the 30 mile ultra in south Wales a couple of weeks ago. Now with our shooting season starting today let the fun and the chaos begin with a busy winter ahead and lots more updates to come as we progress through the season.

So someone had her first rainy walk tonight, don't think she's too impressed at the fact!! In her defence she is soaked as is my coat and jumper as I shoved her in half way round so we could speed up a little 😂

Today I've mostly been an unpaid groom carrying the horse brushes! This working life is hard work 😂🐴

What Sundays are made for.... Soggy wood walks with our spaniel boarding, going to be quiet tomorrow when she goes home

When dad washes all your bedding and the toys and hangs them up just out of reach 😂
