Hi everyone. It’s been 8 months and Bub is pretty much back to normal. Cannot begin to thank the powers above for the results.we know how lucky we’ve been. Hoofbeats horse magazine is doing a little article on bunny for their March April addition. Considering the floods and loss people have endured, again we are eternally grateful.

So it’s been 17 weeks since beautiful bunny hurt herself. This week her neck crate come off and I cried. Thanks to my hubby it served it’s purpose and she took it in her stride. However to take it off must have been a relief. Firstly I’ve had a lot of people be amazed at how far she’s come. I believe that she went into the accident on top vitamins and minerals (I’ve always believed prevention is better than cure). They are not constantly on these but I believe they have helped. Murray and Christine at Pegasus saddlery have always been helpful. Not just a business but knowledgeable, caring people. Once again my beautiful friend and neighbour Ange has continued to help me,and bun. Now she’s home we have managed but if there’s a crisis or a problem she’s here in a flash. After all her chores she still makes time. Thanks everyone for following buns recovery,it was always intended to god forbid help the next poor person to get through this. When it seemed so doom and gloom she has come through in flying colours. She really is a once in a lifetime horse. Her demeanour her will has been so worth it. I would never have let her suffer but, while it didn’t tickle, she never showed pain. Thankyou again to all involved,to all the well wishes and inquiries. To my family and friends. To my beautiful horse.

A little update on bun eveything has pushed out back to the skin line no more holes a little bit of bruising due to her being able to lay down and roll now
Today was the last day we are bandaging and then we will move onto the second stage of healing. We are making a neck cradle for her as it’s starting to get itchy. I think she’s looking forward to no more bandage changes she’s well and truely over it!!

Looking good and feeling good at the moment moving freely now few weeks the bandage is coming off for good 🙂

Just a little post from mum who doesn’t have face book

Where to begin?? To my family for not seeing mum as much as they should. First and foremost my neighbour Ange. Without her bunny would not have gotten this far. Her knowledge, dedication, unwavering support. The administer of medications, her calmness under stressful conditions. To be ready to do dressings even when she’s exhausted from her own days work. What she doesn’t know about horses isn’t worth knowing. She has literally saved bunnies life and my heart and sanity. To Sam from south east vets, who didn’t give up on her. Who decided to give her a chance, who calls in on her way home from a busy day just to check her wound. Legend! To the man who has provided me with her medications as far as the wound goes. Thankful for you being first and foremost a human. You know who you are. To my son for his unwavering support. To my husband who isn’t horsey to support our decision ( and to pay for it even though I know it’s more and more pressure for him. Finally thanks to everyone that has commented, sent their love and best wishes, makes you realise the world is still good. Lastly to my beautiful, placid, calm, brave horse. You are so worth it. You haven’t put a foot wrong. You have impressed everyone involved with your beautiful nature. It’s not over yet, long way to go but your so worth it.
