3 mistakes I made when I started growing my own seedlings.🌱
1. Used seeds that weren’t good quality or maybe too old. Result they never germinated.
💚Now I use two seed companies I love Johnny’s and Trueleaf market. (Grab my $5 off coupon for Trueleaf in my link)
2. I would place my newly planted seed-
/rockwool cube directly into our tower. Where they would take twice as long to grow because I didn’t allow to germinate properly and they get hit with a higher nutrient value.
💚germinate for 3-4 days in the dark than under grow lights for 3 weeks before going into the tower. (Our germinate or is a great tool for this-again link in my bio or just ask about it)
3. I left water in the tray for the seedlings to always have water or would forget to water so they ended up drying out.
💚Now we bottom feed and drain all excess water out. They are fed with half strength minerals as well a couple times a week.
These simple steps will improve your growing, help have stronger seedlings which leads to healthy strong plants.

🚨There really is not such thing as a black thumb gardener, it’s a learning curve and a whole big science experiment really. Even some master gardeners will fail or have bad seeds.🚨
We started with one aeroponic tower garden on our patio. Than got a second because it was one way I finally could grow something bigger than the weeds in my ground garden.

We went from 3 to 29 vertical aeroponic tower gardens.

Reality vs. Time Lapse☺️Wish time lapse was reality during task like these where it seems like it takes forever to complete. Part 2 of our story….As this journey grew so did my love for vertical growing in the towers.We got partnered with a fabulous program at one point in our journey and I was able to go into the public school setting and set up many different schools with this growing opportunity. Which was a fun time and an excellent experience. I loved being able to teach the kids different ways we can grow our food and how we can grow year around indoors. When kids get involved in what they grow they tend to have more ownership and eat more as well. Than 2020 hit us like a bus and shifted our journey to focus on the home more. We started the journey of homeschooling and my favorite part was the homeschool curriculum that was available for us to use to pair well with the tower gardens. Just ask if you want more info on that🤩It’s beautiful this journey that we have been on it led us to naming our small but mighty property to Wholesome Living Acres. We knew something was stirring in our hearts. God planted that seed a while ago and to see it grow amazes me daily. I love helping people on their journeys to better health and nutrition. We are excited to share more of this journey along with you all. It sure is a labor of love. It all started with a seed that was planted and I learned I could grow indoors year around. Turned into one tower to see what it could do, shortly after that we got a second which was a Mother’s Day gift. And if I can share with you it’s the gift that keeps on growing. Ask me how?
