ANNOUNCEMENT
I'm very happy to say the NWPCC will become active again at the start of next year and the club management is now Josh Okoro, Lee Gaskin and Chris Brown. We plan to build things up gradually and eventually get in place specific working titles for the Presa Canario in both obedience and protection.

The Presa Canario has been bred and continues to be bred with different purposes in mind creating a huge diversity in both temperament and type. One thing we all agree on is the Presa Canario was, and still should be fundamentally a capable guard Dog. With this in mind the protection titles will be more scenario based representing real life situations rather than from a Dog sport perspective like most protection titles. Obedience will obviously take elements from Dog sport and will also be getting discussed over the next few months. Plenty of work to get done but untill then we hope all of you reading this are happy and healthy, especially your Dogs! and we hope to see you next year.

Congratulations to everyone that put their Dogs on the field for the Avd e.v. Presa cup over the weekend. Sadly couldn't be there to witness it but looking forward to hearing the full results and seeing more footage. Respect to everyone who competed and also worked the event showcasing what our amazing breed is capable of 👏🏻 👏🏻 👏🏻

We've recently had quite a lot of interest from people asking if we allow none Presa's to train at the club. The answer is we draw the line and allow upto two different breed Dogs to train at one of our training days under the conditions that these two different breed Dogs are either owned by a member, or have been invited by a member and been approved to come and train.
The reason for this is that we would simply become just another Dog training group and not a breed club if we don't implement any rules. The NWPCC was started to preserve the Presa Canario as a Dog capable of the work it was originally bred to do and to create a community that promotes good control and responsible ownership of the breed. We feel this has never been more important in a time where the sole purpose of breeding Dogs simply for money is the highest it's ever been along with the ever growing trend of younger minded people owning large guardian breeds and having them out of control in public places that could eventually result in BSL for breeds not currently on the list. If you're interested in training your Dog for whatever purpose there are many places in the North.

Just want to say a few thankyou's for today. Firstly to Ste Mcqueen, you was amazing today mate and did an amazing job working such big powerful driven Dogs on a rotational basis in the suit. Deffinetly an experience with some battle wounds to show for it.

Jamie bowes for coming across for nothing and helping and working the green Dogs.

Beth Phillips and family for providing the venue and for getting things prepared on site and lastly to everyone that came. I hope everyone enjoyed themselves and can take something away from the day and have an idea on how they want to move forward with their Dogs.

Going forward a Facebook group page will now be created for us all to discuss and organise training days in the future to go alongside training that people already do with their Dogs across the country. Already seen some amazing photos and videos from today that will get posted up over the weekend. It was a pleasure to meet and chat to you all in the real world and again thanks for making it a great unexpected turn out. Hope everyone gets home safe and see you next time!
