Our Chickenador is sold and cruising the streets of another acreage neighborhood carrying a new chicken loving family 💕 It was definitely a sad moment, but it was great to see it passed on to people who will really enjoy it!

We are moving and won’t need our Chickenador for a while! It’s very sad but hopefully another farm would like a golf cart upgraded with all the best chicken/dog/joy stickers around!! 🥳

We have about 20 broilers available out of this run. They will be dressed, packaged, and ready for pickup tomorrow afternoon.

These birds have been raised on locally milled feed and given unlimited access to pasture. We expect they will dress out between 3 1/2 and 5 pounds each.

Let us know if you’re interested and would like to come by tomorrow. We also have plenty of eggs available too!!

We are so grateful for our amazing customers that love our chickens and eggs as much as we do!! Our egg fridge was empty last night for the first time since our first hens started laying 🎉 It’s got dozens of eggs in it again today but it was awesome to see it empty 💕

We are firm believers in “If you can do better, you should do better”. We understand that commercial egg production is necessary so that everyone can afford to eat. It’s just hard to see.

If you have the means please consider a local, pasture raised producer of eggs. Their chickens are out every day, the eggs provide higher levels of nutrients and you won’t have to think of what was traded for that $0.99 carton of eggs. 🥚💕

This is one of the realities of getting chickens from cages. These ladies have no muscle tone they've never had to really stand up to eat drink or do anything. I struggled with the idea of posting about them because I understand the necessity of having caged birds economically speaking and I don't want to come across as some sort of rescue or anything. I love that I can give them a chance to be real birds but this is the reality of them coming to me sometimes. They need TLC and supportive care while they learn how to chicken.

This is however another good teaching moment of why my eggs cost more. It costs money to not raise them in warehouses. It takes space and enrichment and a lot of time and care to have chickens who live outside and are not stacked in cages where they are totally fine health wise having food and water, but they have no idea of what it is to move around and flap their wings and be animals.

I will post updates on these birds because it's the thing that I do with my business that makes me feel the best.

We are now taking orders for pasture raised, whole chicken. Pickup dates will be May 17th, June 28th, and August 16th. There are 60 available per pickup date.

Our pasture has been pesticide and fertilizer free. We do not use antibiotics or hormones. And in addition to moving their mobile coops daily they also have free range of the full pasture.

Message or text us with any questions. Orders will require a 50% non-refundable deposit, the balance will be due at pickup. Pricing is for whole broilers bagged individually. Can be cut up for an add’l $2 each.

We will also have six fresh whole turkeys available mid-November for $3/lb, just in time for thanksgiving 🦃

We believe that how your food is raised makes a huge difference in how it nourishes your body and your soul.

Our flock has over 2 acres of securely fenced pasture to graze and scratch and enjoy. We don’t use any pesticides on our property and are antibiotic free. If a hen needs an antibiotic we absolutely treat her but she is removed from the laying flock for a month and housed separately, with a couple friends, until the antibiotic has cleared her system.

Not everyone has access to eggs or chicken from flocks like ours, but hopefully more and more will 💝🐓🥚

We had a terrible day yesterday. Three coyotes broke into our enclosure during the day and took 8 hens and one of our baby chicks. Both Bruce and Willis were also taken trying to defend their flock. They were amazing roosters and will be sorely missed.

If you have any recommendations on livestock guardian dogs for chickens please share! We are also looking for breeder recommendations.
