It was a dead heat between #PaysonPark trainees in Saturday’s ninth race at Tampa Bay Downs 🏆 Shug McGaughey-trained BELLE OF RIGHTS hit the wire together with OVERSUBSCRIBED (GB), trained by Chad Brown, in the 1 1/16-mile Maiden Special Weight on the turf ✨ Congratulations to all of the connections involved. What an exciting finish! 👏

#PaysonPark proudly offers a variety of activities and services for its backstretch community. Every Tuesday and Thursday, English classes are taught in the cafe. Participants are provided with all the materials needed for class, and more than 30 people have signed up from different barns to learn from Ms. Palacios of Home Sound Bible College. Classes started January 4 and run through the end of the winter season on May 14th. Even three Payson employees are studying English! 📚📝 Other activities include: 🔹Weekly transport to Walmart 🚙 🔹Bible study ✝️ 🔹Monthly movie night 🎬 🔹Biweekly chiropractor and wellness checks 🩺 🔹 Access to dental care, optometry and more 👁️🦷 🔹 Soccer league ⚽️ We love giving back to our backstretch!

#PaysonPark kicked off the week with lunch for its backstretch workers, sponsored by the Jockey Club Safety Net Foundation ✨ The foundation’s executive director Shannon Kelly was also on hand to host a drawing, ging out 35 $25.00 gift cards. The Jockey Club Safety Net Foundation is a charitable trust which provides, on a confidential basis, financial relief and assistance to needy members of the Thoroughbred industry and their families. Founded in 1943, the foundation provides assistance in any number of forms, including financial aid for basic living needs, medication, surgical and hospital costs, therapeutic equipment, voice-recognition computers for quadriplegics and wheelchair-accessible vans, among other needs.
