Check out Tseena being the best girl helping teach our summer training intern, Maggie some of the intro steps to starting horses on liberty!
This is very special to see Tseena connecting and working with someone new other then me! She is so friendly to new people now compared to the horse that was so shy and wanted nothing more than to get away from people a few months ago. 🖤
Hi everyone! Tseena did amazing at Penn Vet New Bolton Center I’m super proud of her for handling an entirely new environment and new people like a pro.
She had her neuro eval, more blood work drawn, X-rays of her head and neck, and a spinal tap. Her eval went very well showing minimal neurologic signs (which means her meds are working!), her X-rays came back clear and clean from any damage from her past trauma, but we wont be getting the blood work and spinal tap results back until later this week.
As always I can’t thank you all enough for all of the heartwarming messages, comments, and continued support from all over the world for this sweet girl! 🖤
First Farrier & Dentist visit!
To say I’m over the moon would be an understatement! Tseena came in with huge overgrown feet that had only ever been done once a year on a tilt table! Because her feet had only been done this way, she was very sensitive and touchy, so I took it slow getting her comfortable and prepared for her first farrier visit. Seeing them finally done is such a relief!
Our fabulous dentist Glade Valley Equine Dental Services, LLC came in right after and got to work on those teeth! She said Tseena was either very lucky with good dental conformation or it had been well over 2 years since they had been done.

Evening all! I always go say good morning to her when I first get to work and a goodnight to her before heading home so, here’s a quick clip of our goodnight kisses this evening. Enjoy! 🥰 Rescued to Stardom
Morning everyone! Here’s our session from yesterday.
Her first time in the indoor and her first introduction to the flag. She is still head shy so you will see her shaking her head and trying to move away from the flag and at one point you’ll see that I’m blocking her from going left or right and she decides that trying to walk over me is her best option, once I block that then she stands quietly and gets a reward/ release from relaxing. She has a lot of really good moments of licking, chewing and being relaxed.
Once she was more comfortable with the flag I started getting her to move out around me, she has some hesitation at first as she’s not sure what I’m asking of her, but she figures it out pretty quickly. Lastly, we end the session with head down and a little cuddle session. This girl is going to be something special. 🖤

Evening all! Quick Tseena update! Today we focused on foot work, since she has come in she has been very sensitive and touchy so we focused more on building a relationship and a connection, I finally felt like we were at a point to start working on getting her comfortable with her feet. For all that don’t know Tseena has only ever had her feet trimmed once a year on a tilt table, meaning she has never experienced a normal trimming from a farrier ever!
You’ll see in the videos that I had a rope on her foot, to start teaching her pressure and release when her foot comes off the ground, and to start leading with her foot. Now I wasn’t really sure how this was going to go, my initial thought was that she wasn’t going to like it and really fight with me. To my surprise (as she always surprises me) she was alittle confused at first but figured it out so quickly! You’ll even see in a few of the videos her brain connects first to what I’m asking of her before her feet start moving, and she checks in with me a few times before moving to make sure that’s really what I’m asking of her.
If you watch to the end of the video, you’ll see our moment of cuddles, she is trying so hard to want to cuddle and be loved but she’s just not sure that she’s ready to give in to me completely. This girl amazes me everyday with all she has been through and how much try she has! 🖤
