Sniff stops are very important to keep our dogs happy.
Studies even suggest that when a dog is enjoying a good sniff it makes them feel more optimistic.
Engaging their noses during walks or free time can provide a lot of mental stimulation.
Controlled walking with sniffing is a great way for you and your dog to stop and take in your surroundings.

Pookie tries: Pea’s 🟢🟢
Looking for another healthy snack for your doggo? Look no further then your freezer!
Fresh or frozen peas (avoid canned) are a fun treat and can also be put into food enrichment toys like kongs or puréed and spread onto a licky mat.
Safe to say Peas are Pookie appo✔️☑️😋

Got more then one dog and finding it hard to control them when all walking together ? Don’t loose hope !
It’s doable, quick little video of my dogs having a night time walk (lots of bunnies for distractions ) all loose lead with just a collar and lead. 😇
Always wondering what else you can use for dog training treats that is something different for them to try? Well Pookie has you covered. Pookie will be sharing with you all some healthy treat ideas for your pooch, and if they are Pookie approved or not! #Pookietries
First up, plain popcorn ! 🤤
Sponge my newest member to the &Co part of the team getting used to the wild weather changes. He has came along way since we started. ( bad quality video sorry )
Wild weather changes can be very unsettling for some dogs. In this case Sponge was able to overcome a lot of his fears with desensitizing in slow positive conditions. Keep in mind this won’t will not work for all dogs, some may require veterinary attention/ medicine to help with these situations (this isn’t a bad thing).
Thunder/ storm sensitivity will usually get worse as the dog ages (unless they go deaf),
So I try my best to keep my dogs calm when storms hit, it does effect each of my dogs differently so different training desensitizing is a must for my fur family.
Love getting progress updates 🥰
This sweet pup was scared of getting in the back of the car always had to be lifted and would put the brakes on when he got close to the car, now look at him! That’s one relaxed dude, Yay!!
Rosie showing her skills, she enjoyed a good play after her training. 😂
It’s important to include “dog fun” in your training sessions as it breaks it up for the dog, they can unwind and enjoy playing for a little bit. I personally like to have some “dog fun” after training with my dogs to leave it always on a positive note. 😊
*danger noodle warning * ⚠️
A perfect example why recall and basic obedience is so important. Walking my dogs on private property so off lead is allowed when we came arcross a snake (alive ) on the road, I recalled all my dogs and got them to stay behind me for safety and we walked the other direction. Mr danger noodle slithered off as we walked away. 😳
Short snippet from our K9 secondary. Getting our pooches to stay in high stimulation situations. My classes are definitely high energy 😂
