Im not sure many of you knew him back then. He really changed his looks over the years, but those eyes...always the same caring , loving, see into your soul eyes. ♡ miss you baby boy

Xander's field. This is a small part of the field Xander loved to run in. Every day, when we went for a walk, he would wait for me to walk a bit ahead, turn to look for him, and take off running as fast as he could to me. This is the same field where we have been finding sunflowers popping up randomly along our trail. Yes, in November! We seem to find a new one every couple of days. There are so many that I decided to take pictures. Could this be birds? Absolutely. Or something else? Sure. But it's only in our path that we walk. When we go around a different area, there are none. I like to think Xander is showing us he's still with us on walks. We did dig some up and bring them inside, but more pop up. I'm thinking of planting a large amount of sunflowers in his favorite field in the spring and getting a sign - Xander's Memorial Garden. I'd need to find a place that makes signs that could be put up outside in the summer. Does anyone have any other ideas or comments? I'd love to hear more thoughts! Do you guys think this would be a good idea, or do you have any other suggestions? Please let me know!

I think one of the saddest parts of this dotm blocking xander is in his death Im having to defend him. His legacy should be about love , light, making people smile and being there for each other. To realize not only was he removed by the admin - he was blocked is so hurtful to everything he stood for.
I will continue to defend his legacy and stand.up for him and others who have messaged me saying they have suddenly been deleted from that group.
Tomorrow I have pictures to show you all of new sunflowers growing in our walking trail! Hang in there everyone.

It is with sadness and confusion that I write this. Our last post was about the sunflowers we found growing! Today, I had an update with more pictures and a story to tell! I went to post it on one of the groups Xander has always been a part of and really loved. I couldn't find the group. I suddenly realized Xander had been blocked. I went to message the administrator and was blocked too. I'm confused and hurt, not only for Xander's legacy but for the friends in that group who now won't see Xander again, and I have no way of letting them know. I had asked people to sign up their doxie to help with weather reports, and many did, but if they are not on Xander's page, they will not know. Xander grew up on Doxies of the Maritimes; that's where he grew up, and many came to love him. I don't think our last post was troubling. I wanted to grow a community to help with the grief of pet loss, do weather reports, and try to help people as well as make them smile. Xander was a loving, caring, and loyal friend to everyone. It breaks my heart that he is now lost to people who might not be able to find his page. This was Xander's legacy... I don't understand why anyone would want to destroy it by removing him. He was love, light, funny, silly, and extremely caring. I will carry his legacy on here, but I feel terrible for the people who are in that group that loved Xander and don't know. I'll share his new sunflower pics tomorrow; I just wanted you all to know the situation.

Xander loved many things in life ( besides hats and ladies!). He loved to run in our field beside our house. We would walk to the top and he would stop and make sure I was watching. Id say Go baby Go! Or Fly baby! And he would take off running so fast i swear sometimes his feet did not touch the ground. He loved the field . Me Martin and Arabella still walk the same path every day at least 2 times.
Another thing was he liked to " help" me garden. He would lay beside the garden and watch me. We always grew giant sunflowers..
Friday we were walking the path we always walk when I saw something a different color green . When we got up to it it was 2 sunflowers in this big field stated to grow. We kept walking , came in and I couldn't stop thinking about them. After a bit me and Arabella went out shovel and pot in hand and dug them up to protect them for the cold. Could birds of dropped some seed they found there? Sure. Could the wind have carried the seeds ? Absolutely..
Or could xander have sent a message that he is on our walks with us . ...

Alert! Alert! This is Arabella Darlington, Xander's little sister reporting for the very first time ♡. Hold on to your broomsticks and candy bags, kiddos! Some mysterious Melissa character is brewing up a storm, with rain and wind heading our way tomorrow. It's like she's trying to ruin Halloween for all the ghosts and goblins! We might see some areas clear up just in time for the little monsters to come out, but beware of waterlogged roads and spooky wind gusts. If the power goes out, well, that's just a great excuse to devour all the candy you've been hoarding! Stay safe, and as Xander would say, kisses to the ladies ♡.

Meet EDDIE, a sweet 3 1/2 year old dachshund/chihuahua mix who came into our care earlier today. Arabella and Martin are in weather forecast training but asked for some help from friends across the province's. In CB they have a co - host named Dixie. Maureen C Clare . Further along the minas basin they have Bridget Dakota Morgan Sanford and would like to know if a big storm pops up in your area if you want to write us and tell us where you are, name and most importantly a picture of your ween ! What did your dog ( who passed) want out of life? What do you think their purpose was?

With Xander there are so many things. He was genuinely loving and caring for people. He was sweet to everyone who came up to him. He helped people relax and focus on the moment.
Xanders heart was so big . He loved other dachshunds and wanted to make everyone happy. He made me belive there was still good in some people and that everyone should work together to help animals in need. Sometimes its hard but I promise Xander I will keep trying to help other dachshunds in need no matter the circumstances.
I miss you baby boy .
