We have some both exciting, and sad news to share!

First, we’ll start with the sad news. 😢
There currently is an unknown virus that is spreading around Michigan. This virus is having grave consequences for many our our doggy friends and families in the state. This virus is mimicking parvovirus, and is killing dogs that are both vaccinated along with those unvaccinated for parvovirus.
We take the health of our pack very serious, and have been monitoring the situation closely over the last couple weeks.
Because of this mystery virus, our pack is staying home. We are not taking them on their much loved walks off our property, they are not enjoying downtown strolls and meeting new friends, and they even are missing out on the final family boat days of summer. Poor pups! 💔
-With this, we have decided that we will not be traveling for our stud service that we had hoped to use for our upcoming fall litter(s).

Second, our sweet girl Neeta is in heat! 🌸
But without the stud service of a proven sire, we have no choice but to see if our Samson will become proven. He is young, however, we added him to the pack because of his far superior genetics and long line of excellence in temperament. So we will see, maybe he will become proven, and maybe we will have to wait for Neeta’s next cycle, for spring pups. Either way, the health and safety is ALWAYS a priority here for our Doberman babies.

Our waitlist is currently full for our fall litter, however with the outcome unknown, if you are on our waitlist, we will be happy to move your spot on to the next litter if things don’t work out. Stay tuned. We’ll have a lot of upcoming announcements.

✨We are starting to get excited over here! ✨
This beautiful girl here went to the vet recently for a pre breeding exam, we did her OFA preliminary exam and a blood test. We’ve already completed her genetic testing. She’s looking good! As of right now we are expecting her to be bred this August, which means we will hopefully have puppies in October 🐶 If all goes as planned.
Our wait list is open for 2 spaces for little ladies, and is already full for the little gentleman. If you’d like to be on our waitlist, message me!
Hopefully we’ll have more exciting news to share soon! 🎈

UPDATE: Khaki ducks, and goose still available. Chickens all have new homes.

⭐️ For those of you who follow me for homestead related things 🤪

I’m going to be focusing on our pups this year and need to take a break from poultry. So I’m selling my entire flock - Chickens, Ducks, & Goose.

🐓 I have approximately 50 ish young laying hens, that lay a variety of colors. 🥚 🐣
🦆 I have 4 khaki Campbell ducks with their own drake
🦆 2 welsh harlequin ducks
🦆 1 pekin duck with her pekin drake
🦆 1 Cayuga duck
🦆 2 Cayuga drakes
🦢 1 pilgrim goose

I just rotated my flock last spring so these all are hatched from last April. Most of the hens just started laying for the first time around the first of the year.

Today, Neeta and Kenzie tried out their new dual leash for the first time at our local nature preserve. Many dog trainers say that teaching two dogs to walk at the same time is 5 times harder than walking a single dog. (Which is true!)
This just goes to show how smart and “easy” to train Dobermans are. With a little patience and persistence, it can be done. I’d say for their very first time walking together on a leash splitter, they did excellent!

Did you know that Dobermans are considered to be a “Velcro dog”? Meaning that they want to be wherever you are, at your side…. Always.
It’s hard to get work accomplished when you always have that sense that someone is watching you. However it’s no sense at all…. They always know where their people are! 🥰

This little girl went to the vet today, and is all clear until next year! Had to visit on our way home for a treat and to meet some new people. Wasn’t crazy about being IN the store. But was totally hamming it up with fellow customers outside. 🥰

Yesterday we lost power for over 9 hours. These babies decided to start hatching out while I had them wrapped up in towels to keep them warm. They are ready for their new home today!

Hello Turkey lurkeys! These little turkey poults are almost 3 weeks old already. They’ve already doubled if not more in size. We’ve decided that turkeys are way cooler than chicks because they are so friendly!
