We started our business back in 2020 doing pet boarding and day care out of our house in Fort Collins. We have recently moved to Woodland Park (Summer 2022) to be closer to family. We have now transitioned to offer house sitting and drop-in visits in client's homes to better give the pets more attention and relaxation in their own home. We try to keep your pets day-to-day routine the same. We have

also converted a 12 foot cargo trailer into a fully outfitted mobile grooming facility, complete with water, electrical, XL bath, and professional grooming equipment. We also offer walking, training, and other services. Check out our website or email us with any questions!

Big News!!! We've hired our first employee.

Meet Delaney, she has previous experience with all sorts of animal care and is currently attending Western University.

She will be with us all summer, so that means more availability for house sitting, dog walking, and drop-in visits. Please reach out with dates and we'll try to get you on the schedule!

We wanted to say a huge thank you to all of our regular clientele. Between an accident with our grooming trailer and our second work vehicle dying, we've had a crazy couple weeks. Your continued support and patience with our rapidly growing business has been amazing.

Thank you again Teller county, we have big things coming down the line as we expand our business to service more clients and meet more amazing animals.

At Aggie Animal Care, we want to be prepared for anything that can happen during our pet sitting and dog walking visits. While April may be Pet First Aid Awareness Month, we focus on our pet first aid knowledge year round. Both Mitch and Alli have completed the Canine and Feline CPR and First Aid Certification Course through Pet Emergency Academy and re-certify every two years.

The most recent guidance from the American Veterinary Medical Association on coughing dogs...

Cases of canine infectious respiratory disease complex (CIRDC) in multiple states have been catching much media attention lately. Efforts are underway to identify one or more pathogens that may be responsible.

Meanwhile, dog owners understandably have questions, and veterinary teams need trustworthy answers. Here’s information that your veterinary team can share with clients to help address their concerns.

Outbreaks of CIRDC occur regularly, and the recent outbreak isn’t cause for alarm.
Several different bacteria and viruses can contribute to CIRDC, and we don’t yet know which one(s) are causing the outbreak. While we can’t rule out the possibility that a new organism may be responsible for the outbreak, current disease patterns aren’t consistent with the emergence of a new, easily transmitted pathogen.
Most dogs with CIRDC will have only mild illness, recovering fully within 7 to 10 days. The classic sign is a frequent, honking cough that comes on suddenly, but some dogs may have sneezing and/or a runny nose or eyes.
Typically, only a small percentage of dogs will develop more severe disease, depending on the infecting organism(s) and the dog’s ability to fight it.
Signs that your dog needs immediate veterinary care include the following:

Lingering cough
Weakness
Loss of appetite
Difficulty breathing
Worsening of illness
A cough so severe that your dog vomits or has trouble breathing

These factors increase a dog’s risk of becoming ill:

Short-nose breed, like French Bulldogs
Very young or old age
Compromised immune system
Pre-existing respiratory disease or heart disease

The best way to protect your dog against CIRDC is to keep their vaccines current. Vaccines not only reduce the chance of your dog becoming ill. They also make your dog less likely to develop severe disease or spread infection to other dogs.

Optimal protection against common respiratory infections includes an annual intranasal vaccine against Bordetella, canine adenovirus type 2, and canine parainfluenza. Where canine influenza is known to be circulating, the injectable canine influenza vaccine also is recommended. Your veterinarian can help you decide which vaccines your dog needs to stay as healthy as possible.

If your dog is sick, keep them away from other dogs.

In general, the risk of people getting sick from exposure to dogs with CIRDC is extremely low.

Happy Halloween from everyone here at TCRAS, here are some tips and tricks for a safe Halloween night with pets!

🦇Keep a baby gate at your door so your dogs or cats don't run outside when kids ring that doorbell.

👻 Keep your Halloween candy out of reach of your animals so you don't end up at your veterinarian in the morning.

🎃 Costumes may be scary to some animals, and they may not enjoy tricker treating as much as the kids.

Be safe tonight and have a spooky Halloween!!

🐾Hello friends, family, and loyal clientele, we wanted to jump on here and share some updates to the business.

🐾We first off want to give a huge thank you and shout out to all of our regulars that have made us so busy and successful in our first year of business. It truly means so much to us knowing we can help so many animals in need throughout Teller county.

🐾So many people inquiring about services has definitely been beneficial for growing a small business, but working 7 days a week has started to take its toll. With that being said, Alli and I will be taking Saturdays off from now on. This will allow us to take a much needed break from grooming while also allowing us to spend more time with our house sitting and drop-in pets.

🐾Being so busy also means we need time in our schedule for our furry friends that need frequent and regular grooming, anywhere from 4 to 8 weeks.
Due to this, we will be paring down some of our more difficult or time consuming dogs. If you do end up being one of these clients, we apologize in advance and are always happy to refer you to other groomers and sitters in the area.

🐾Be on the lookout for an extensive website update, new products and services, and the launch of our online store with shipping and local delivery.

Thanks a million,
Mitch & Alli Bartko
