Dogs Detect Human Stress Smell, Affecting Their Mood and Choices

Research shows dogs exposed to human stress odors make more pessimistic choices, indicating a negative emotional state.

The study highlights that human stress smells affect dogs' learning and perception of rewards.

This finding can improve the care and training of companion and working dogs.

The deep connection between human emotions and canine responses is more profound than previously understood.

Just one of the many many reasons to improve the way you manage your land for your 4 legged friends.

Improving the health of the soil has so many flow on effects and I am sure we are just seeing the tip of the iceberg at this stage. As science progresses I am sure we will find out many more exciting things about the soil under our feet.

Has the wet spring made your soil sick?

Wet soil contains higher levels of clostridia pathogens, some of these pathogens form spores that remain in the soil for years.

Clostridia causes colitis/colic in horses and has been linked to grass sickness.

There is a tenfold increase in clostridia species in wet, poorly drained compacted soil.

The good news is that some soils contain more good clostridia than bad, helping to control the bad bacteria.

Which one is yours?

Have it analysed and receive a full real- time analysis of the good, the bad and the ugly gut bacteria. 15% discount for April enter Aprilsoil at checkout.

I have spent the last two days learning about how worms can help our horses. Yes you heard me correctly… WORMS! 🫣

I have always been a bit of a fan of these little guys and the way they can improve biomes. If you have nothing else to do have a look at the way you can help them not just survive but thrive and help your horses.

P.S before you delete me off FB I am talking about earth worms 😉 by Increasing the diversity within your soil you help these guys help us make our horses healthier.

The beauty of having a training program that works for different species.

This cat is 8 to 9 years old and this is her first introduction to scent work.

Just goes to prove you can teach an old cat new tricks 🤪😁

Sentient beings deserve our understanding and our commitment to listening to their behaviour as a symptom of the way they feel. It really is time to separate the science from the myths and marketing.
