It's been quite some time since we last met our Paw friends. How about a meet-up this Sunday with them? 😃

We, at Mongrels of Ahmedabad, are back with yet another Mega Reflective-Collar Drive to protect our strays. We will gather on 05th December at 08:00 AM outside Sabarmati Ashram, Ashram Road Thenafter we divide ourselves into small teams and collar them.

Mongrels of Ahmedabad has equipped more than 3000 dogs with Reflective Collars in and around the city ,We hope to stay committed to the cause

We hardly come across people who keep working selflessly without worrying about any recognition. One such person we came across one on our regular feeding drives .
Lalita Ben is an auto driver,she works at railway yard for loading and unloading of scrap materials .Every night after she is done with her work she prepares meal of milk and rice and feeds over 100 strays around .
She is being doing this daily since many years and still gets unnoticed as she usually feeds late nights .She uses 80% of what she earns daily for feeding strays and for rest she manages her expenses. Her commitment for working towards animals is what makes our world a better place .We salute her dedication

When we all are going through these tough times .We need to accept that we all can survive only if we support each other and learn to coexist by respecting each and every living beings around us .

Let's make world a better and safe place for each one of us

As Per The Information, They Have Received A Circular From The Authorities To Shift These Dogs Of And Around THE NEW NARENDRA MODI CRICKET STADIUM, AHMEDABAD to AMC ALLOTTED ABC CENTRE NEAR DANILIMDA, AHMEDABAD For A Span Of 1 Month (Till The England Cricket Team Is In Ahmedabad).

Sadly, A PUPPY Has ALREADY DIED At The Centre As Reported By The Caller, Person Taking Care Of The Pups.

We are on the same boat, brother.

Here comes the puppy season again, and during this time, many puppies either lose their mother or get relocated by locals. Sometimes they become a victim of deadly diseases, human cruelty, road accidents, and many more. Many of these cute furry balls fail to win the battle of life during the fight. The question is how we can end this misery, and the answer is ‘Get them sterilized.’
Yes, you heard it right. Only sterilization can decrease the pain and suffering by controlling the population. This is the high time to promise a better healthy life to our waggy tales and reduce human – stray conflict.

Have you ever noticed a dog silently watching you as you eat your sandwich, frankie or panipuri or Icecream from a road side stall? Have you ever wondered what goes through the dogs mind then? He is clueless about why he doesn’t get to eat the stuff you are eating .

He doesn’t know money is needed to purchase food. He doesn’t know that the human he is silently watching doesn’t give a second thought to his hunger. All he can do is only stand there in hope that some piece falls off from their frankie or a little drop of melted ice cream drips on the dirty floor which he can lick off the floor then. Isn’t Hunger a universal feeling of all living beings? Let’s open our heart. Feed a stray. Share and Create awareness.

Let's drive this world with compassion and empathy and make sure no living being sleeps hungry.Feed a stray around you who looks hungry .
A small gesture from you can make a difference .

A dog who isn’t hungry and starving is less likely to be aggressive too. We all can coexist if only we paid a little attention to these truly neglected section of our society.

India is home to More 40 Million Street dogs as per reports by UN and approximately 10% of them die every year due to road accidents.The Accidents are mainly caused at night as the dogs are not properly visible to naked eyes of driver while they are on roads. One of the ways the dog's visibility can be increased is by equipping them with Reflective collars

How does Reflecitive collar work ?
At night, a car's headlights turning onto the road will bounce off stray dog's collar. The reflective material will help stray dog shine brightly.It will make the dog visible from distance of 50-100 Metres .Hence, it will avoid undesirable situation.The mishappenings can be avoided and stray's life can be protected
