My little niece, I was informed, picked up dog p**p using the appropriate bag on several occasions for her aunt's dog. I was told she's keeping up her end of the bargain to my understanding meaning she'll be getting a dog of her own soon. I'm glad to see she's willing to put in some work. Too many kids these days seem to want a cat, a dog, a bunny, a bird, a fish, a lizard and anything they've glanced at for a small amount of time like a 2 year old in a toy store. Pets are a lot of work and my feeling is we make a promised to them once purchased. You are apart of the family now. You will not be forgotten and neglected. We care about your physical health as well as your emotional health. It's not about just me and what I want, it's about you. I think she only has a fish right now so I think she's on the right track and prepared to be a good kid with a dog.

Hopefully parents are ready too. Lol.

New bird in the home. A little scared but doing ok sharing a cage with friend. Now to get them use to being out of the cage for bit. Should I reach my hand in and grab her? Or use a ladder or perch and wait for the bird to climb on? I chose the ladder.

My birds keep whistling too loud. Or maybe its better described as screaming. Unfortunately no bird trainer in sight. Fortunately, the dog trainer was around. The cage will usually suffice but she knew the birds were bored. She only took one bird out the cage with a little help from a treat and all of a sudden it just got quiet. Birds are happy. I'm happy.
