LYNNIE was a "special needs" pup who we welcomed into our Rescue home in May 2021 and lives with us at Puppy Dog Ranch Rescue & Sanctuary in Las Cruces, NM.

LYNNIE receives medical care and treatment at Eye Care For Animals - El Paso, Texas. At this time (Dec. 2021) LYNNIE's monthly prescriptions, vet care and travel costs average $200 a month. We're going to go through some good days and some not so good days together. And there are days when all you want to do is play and be naughty and other days when you don't feel well and want to be quiet, comfortable and sleep by yourself. But we're learning and living with this together.

LYNNIE's FIRST OPHTHALMIC EXAMINATION (a full blown, thorough eye exam and various tests).

Where: Eye Care for Animals in El Paso, TX -- Dr. Hibbs

Date: October 5, 2021

Based on LYNNIE's known rescue history and age (9 months old at the time of exam), here's LYNNIE's Diagnosis:

Diagnosis: Corneal Dystrophy OU; Early Immature Cataracts OU

Prognosis: Guarded for Vision; Open for Comfort

Diagnostic Procedures: Recommendations included consideration of pre-cataract testing, if interested in cataract removal surgery.

**Veterinary Note: Lynnie likely has other ocular anomalies associated with her conditions and may not gain full vision, even with cataract removal surgery.**

Lynnie's Care At this Time: Apply twice daily Topical Anti-Inflammatory and Anti-Glaucoma medications; recheck intraocular pressure in 1 month (Nov. 2021); full examination in 3 months (Jan. 2022).

Making the drive to Lynnie's 2nd appointment at Eye Care for Animals in El Paso, TX on Nov. 11, 2021. Re: Eye Pressure check since starting eye drops and ointment twice a day, 6 weeks ago. GOOD PRESSURES!! Good girl, Lynn Gweenie!! ❤ Her next full exam is in January 2022.
