We returned to Michigan last week to wrap up our final two local Aqua Box projects.

Watching both families gaze at their new systems in awe makes everything we do worth it. We look forward to continuing our lifelong relationships with all of our local clients.

As founder and owner of Aqua Box, I am always looking to collaborate with other companies that consistently put their best foot forward when it comes to keeping animals thriving and instilling conservation.

I am incredibly excited to announce that we have moved to the west coast to join the finest aquarium team in the world, Tenji Aquarium Design + Build.

We will continue to share a few remaining Aqua Box projects on this page, however, be sure to like the Tenji page linked above to watch our future stunning projects come to fruition.

We are very excited to announce that Austin Lefevre will be joining the Tenji team and will be relocating to the Monterey area in November 2017. He will accompany the rest of our West Coast team in our new Carmel, CA, showroom space (more on that big announcement in the very near future!).

As founder and owner of AquaBox, Austin brings with him many years of experience in the aquarium industry. He is known for building immaculate aquarium systems, and is recognized throughout the industry for his knowledge and understanding of marine fish breeding, care and quarantine practices. His skill set will mesh perfectly with our talented team of professionals.

We can’t wait for Austin to start work. Great things are on the horizon!

We recently completed this life-support revamp of an existing 160-gallon African cichlid aquarium.

The new life support boasts six seven inch filter socks, a moving bio-bed, and a seventy-one-inch long ultraviolet sterilizer which will keep the display sparkling at all times in this beautiful home.

Late last year MRC was contacted by an aquarist who had been put through the ringer by another company after his massive new display aquarium failed, flooding his entire home.

After that incident, the client knew it was time to call in the professionals.

This past weekend we attended the 8th annual MBI Workshop. As expected, it did not disappoint!

Phenomenal presentations by Todd Gardner, Noel Heinsohn, Avier Montalvo, and Monika Schmuk.

We were honored to provide a sneak peek of our showroom to the speakers, along with several attendees.

As aquarists, we must show these industry pioneers our support by purchasing captive bred animals they work tirelessly to produce.

Aqua Box is incredibly proud to work with breeders worldwide by offering their animals through our retail outlet and providing them with fully conditioned broodstock.

While science won the battle today, the debate is far from over (and never will be).

This is the closest we have come to seeing Hawaii closed down.

Yesterday we walked this client through the water change process for his system. In under ten minutes, we performed a 40% water change with no hoses, buckets, or wet hands.

First fish and corals have been added, time to quarantine some more animals and watch the system mature!
