Dear God, it is easy to allow corrupt words to pass through our mouths when we are angered. But, You can give us a spirit of self-control to battle this temptation. Thank You for giving us the perfect example of loving others and extending grace. May our words reflect Your heart, O Lord. Help me to use my words to edify and bless others rather than wound. Please purify my mind and heart so that my words are a reflection of You. It is only because of Your son, Jesus Christ, and your grace that I can overcome this struggle. In Jesus' name, amen.

When you are tempted to say something unwholesome or unkind, you must stop. When we are hurting, angry, or frustrated, it is tempting to let corrupt words come from our mouths. Instead, we should strive to speak only words that uplift and bless others. Before you speak, consider if the words that you are preparing to speak are edifying or corrupt. Do they extend grace to those listening or do they wound? God's Word tells us that what comes out of our mouths is a reflection of our hearts. Let our words show others we love Jesus.

Dear Lord, we are saddened by the physical decline of our earthly bodies but we find peace in knowing that we are precious to You and You will never leave our side. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

The Lord values our lives and suffers along with us when we come to death's door. He calms our spirits and prepares our hearts. He does not delight in our anguish and sits patiently in our presence, providing peace and comfort as He receives our souls. We must remember that our lives are precious to our Creator. Our physical decline saddens Him even though a peaceful eternal life is in our future.

Lord, I am not always strong. In fact, I rarely am. I often rely too much on my own strength and not Yours. Help me to rely on You and not myself. Help me rely on Your strength. You are a good God and You are merciful. You see the weak, and You make them strong. Thank You for caring for the weak. Please care for me when I am wavering. In Jesus' name. Amen.

God is strong for the weak. He increases our strength when we need it. Many believers throughout history accomplished great things for God, and they will tell you it was only through the Lord's strength they did. God is our strength. When you feel weak, when you feel like you can't go on, when you don't think you can take another step, pray and ask God for His strength. Lean on Him.
