We are tired.

Everyone who works in animal rescue is tired.

Some of the strongest, most resilient people we know are talking about quitting rescue because it is just too hard.💔

We are tired of shelters overflowing with dogs because of irresponsible, entitled, ignorant people who think it is acceptable to discard their pets after owning them for years.

We are tired of excuses like you are moving homes, having a new baby, wanting to travel, or don’t enough money to invest into the training and well being of your dog (while living in 2 million dollar condos and carrying Chanel bags.)

We are tired of adopting out perfect puppies just to have their owners try to return them once they are grown, all because the dogs were not given appropriate training and attention and are now “misbehaving”.😒

We are tired of hearing that you want the best for your dog and you think there is a better home for them out there somewhere. Do you really think that they are going to be better off sitting in a cold shelter waiting to be euthanized? Be honest with yourself and stop trying to make yourself feel better by pretending that abandoning your family is actually what is best for them.

When you bring home an animal, you are committing to them for the rest of their lives. When did it become acceptable to just give up on a living, loving being the second they stop being convenient? Grow up and take care of your responsibilities. Stop expecting us to pick up the pieces of what you have broken.
