We could really use a “super quiet” shop vac in the critter room to clean floor/ cages. Anyone have any experience with this? There are some listed as extremely quiet- but are they really? Would prefer to find used- but would like to know which brands are actually quiet. Don’t want to scare or traumatize them- but hand scooping 11 huge cages is getting old fast 😂

Day 3… GUINEA PIGS

We spent all day with the guinea pigs yesterday and did a recount and re-checking of genders. Our actual final count was 64 guinea pigs. I have developed a new skill of finding pen*ses on guinea pigs! The resume never stops building! 😂
We would like to thank everyone who has spent time helping, donating, and offering advice and resources. We have a couple of things in the works to help place some of these babies. Once we make sure they are healthy -starting next week we will be accepting adoption applications and days and times where they can be visited.
A very special thank you to SRescue Pets of Floridath Rescue Pets of Florida for donating most of the cages we are using! Being able to separate these babies out and give them the space they need to feel safe and grow is everything!

A series of unfortunate events led me to stumble on a sad Guinea Pig hoarding situation today. The owner was not purposely hoarding them. It was a situation that quickly got out of control for him. We are getting the critter shed ready to accept 30+ injured, sick, pregnant, and baby/old or otherwise in need piggies. We will be working all day tomorrow with hopes of collecting them by Thursday. If you are able to help in any way- please reach out! We could use more large rodent cages, pine pellet bedding, feed dishes and water bottles. Oh and Guinea Pig food. Lots and lots of Guinea pig food. This all comes at the most inconvenient of times as we have had bills after bills. I firmly believe I was led to these babies and I will NOT let them down.

I am at a loss. Not sure what else to do but beg. Eli (Lenny’s biological brother who came into rescue with him) now has to have dental surgery. We were told there is a genetic component to this disorder. Lucky us! Not as extensive because we caught it earlier- but still 😢 We are $400 in the hole from Lenny still. Please help if you can. Order berries. Come to BINGO on 2/23. Donate. PLEASE HELP. If you can’t donate or attend, please share this post. We have until 2/24 to raise $950!!
