Hope everyone is staying well in this crazy world we are in at this time.

I am pleased to say that I am getting ready to get back on the road and bring some much needed nail care to your pets in the comfort of your home.

That being said, there are additional precautions that are being put into place to keep you, and myself, safe during our scheduled visits. As we are unable to maintain a 6 feet distance during a nail trim, there are steps that I am taking to keep you safe, and there are steps I ask you to consider to keep me safe.

Steps I'm taking:
o Wearing a mask
o Sanitizing my hands immediately upon entry into your home
o Sanitizing clippers immediately before and after use
o Ensuring any towels/muzzles that are used are placed into a bag and not reused until properly sanitized
o Ensuring any treat bags that are touched are sanitized before being put back
o Sanitizing my hands immediately before leaving your home

Steps that I ask you to consider:
o Wear a mask
o Have only 1 family member assist for the nail trim as I do require someone to hold your pet
o Sanitize your hands prior to assisting me with the nail trim
o Have a designated area to do the nail trim, preferably low traffic, where the animal is comfortable
o Supply your own treats – not only does this help reduce potential tummy upsets, but also reduces risk of contamination
o Ask for other household members to stay a minimum of 6 feet away, unless additional assistance is required

I am a Registered Veterinary Technician in good standing with the Ontario Association of Veterinary Technicians (OAVT) offering nail trims for your pets in the comfort of your own home. I bring with me multiple years of animal handling and experience.

A common theme I hear when I speak to clients is that they are worried about doing their animals nails themselves. I also hear how their animal is nervous, anxious or scared of going to the groomer or hospital to get their nails done. Animals are often more comfortable in their own home as well and are more receptive. By bringing the nail trim to you, my hope and goal is to alleviate the fear, anxiety and stress that your pet, and you, feel around nail trims.

Another challenge I hear in regards to nail trims is getting the animal to the groomer or hospital in the first place. Transportation may be a challenge at times. By bringing the nail trim to you, there is no need to worry about getting your pet to the groomer or hospital.

Offering services to dogs, cats, rabbits, birds, reptiles and pocket pets. I am willing to take the time to make it a positive experience for both you and your pet. However, the pet should ideally be comfortable with its paws/feet being touched, and you as the owner, be comfortable assisting and handling the pet.

$20/trim (dogs, cats, birds, pocket pets, etc.).
Each additional pet, at time of visit, is $5

Please advise of any dietary restrictions (i.e. no liver, chicken, Kong peanut butter etc.) your pet has, or if you would prefer to supply your own treats as distractions and rewards.
