Like many others, I've had a big couple of weeks showing horses. After the wonderful weekend at Willinga, it was time for the East Coast Arabian Championships in Sydney, where the horses I exhibited made me very proud.
Diamond Road Blond Ambition (Ray of Light x Kie-Al Gypsy Rose) was Champion Half Arabian Mare and in her first time out under saddle, Reserve Champion Ridden Half Arabian. Thank you to Thorek for leading her to her win, and Hopwood for riding her in her ridden class, and for training her so beautifully.
Netifa Al Maas (Abha Omani x Neytiri) was shown for a Top Five Purebred Junior Filly award, again by Thorek . I was very glad to hear someone behind me make a remark about her good movement, with their companion replying that 'it's in her breeding'.
Finally, my naughty, snorty Nahlouria (Vesuvio x Fazenda Za'jarne) showed in the very competitive Senior Mare class, only just missing out on a Top Five. Outside in the marshalling area she reportedly put on a dazzling performance while Netifa was inside the arena, and she gained many new fans.
Thank you to the committee of the NSW Arabian Horse Assoc Inc. The Only Official Page and the incredible main sponsor of the show, Oso Performance Arabians. Incidentally, Oso bred one of my favourite horses of the show, the gelding Oso Hey Harley - what a horse!
I must thank Bugeja Denison Forster and Medley - your support means everything, I hope I have tagged your correctly!
Thank you to Dillon Rural for keeping stocked up on Showtorque :)
