Another happy day: Maggie graduates from her board and train bootcamp!!!

A once fearful and reactive dog, to the point of other trainers refusing to work with her, is now a calm and confident one.

She can go anywhere without reactivity because she trusts her pack leader, and is relieved to know it’s not her job to protect and direct her pack. CBD has done wonders to help balance her nervous system and nurture a calmer existence.

Her mom was also able to join our Dog Psychology group class while she was in bootcamp, which will help to cement this knowledge at home even more so.

Over her stay we worked LOTS on trust and slowly increased more and more triggers… helping Maggie work through her fear to calm. It’s SO exciting to get to introduce this brand new dog to her pack.

Pool season is here again. The pack couldn’t be happier about it!

This is Mia, an 8yr old, 5 pound, chihuahua mix. We have the pleasure of working with her over the next few weeks of her board and train bootcamp.

Mia comes to us as a nervous Nelly. She spins constantly, has little to no recall, and lives in a constant fear state of fight/flight/avoidance.

No dog is too old, or too small to be trained. We will work on all things trust to build confidence and help her let go more often; her last years are going to be her BEST years!

One more week for miss Maggie! She has gained so much confidence and turned into a silly and sweet little lady that loves her new pack, and trusts her pack leader. This last week we will continue to push the bar higher with more intense triggers to work through, and higher rewards for success!

Welcome to bootcamp Maggie! This 3yr old pitty will be with us for the next few weeks. She is terrified of almost everything, and everyone. When she was discovered at a local shelter by her new mom, she was a mess. Shelter life, plus whatever trauma she’s had in her past, created total shutdown from fear.

She was so scary and reactive around new people at her house, that another trainer refused to work with her and said to just drug her.

But that’s not what Maggie needs. With the help of our clear rules, boundaries and limitations she is already starting to let go and trust. It’s very exciting to be around other dogs, and even though she’s still a little scared of them she really wants to trust them and let go. It’s going to happen. It takes as long as it takes. One step, one trigger, at a time.

We can’t wait to watch this sweet, timid girl blossom into a calm and confident pup.

Rolo graduates today from a basic board and train bootcamp with us. He has come leaps and bounds from where he started with reactivity. His parents are equipped to help make this training stick with a complete relationship reset. Can’t wait to watch him continue to grow!!! Yay Rolo!

Some of you remember that when Bubba first came to us he had zero trust for other dogs. His amazing foster momma rescued him moments from death at the county shelter.

After a scary bite incident he was kicked out of where he was boarding and couldn’t be around other dogs due to his aggression and multiple bites.

For his first month here a muzzle was worn daily; introducing him to other dogs was a very slow process. And he was reactive for weeks on end. We knew that he deserved more, and began his journey towards rehabilitation.

Months later, this is Bubba now: a happy boy without a care in the world. He listens, obeys, trusts, and loves the couch. Hard to remember old Bubba. He’s going to make someone the perfect companion! If that’s you reach out. Can’t wait to see his amazing life to come!

Most of you already know sweet Rolo 🥰 he will be with us over the next few weeks for a basic board and train bootcamp.

This 3yr old Great Dane is a highly trained dog, who excels at obedience drills. So why bootcamp? What he’s here to work on is reactivity; specifically connected to fear, trust and respect. He has his triggers, with his strength plus them it can be difficult to control him once he’s in the fear zone.

We have high hopes for this AMAZING pup, can’t wait to watch him grow with you 🥰
