My little mountain lion 🦁🐶🏔️ I’ve realized how much I have missed taking and posting photos of Skylar. So, I’ve been making an effort to incorporate more photos into my account (dw there will still be plenty of reels!) I hope you like these pics of my pretty girl ❤️ I couldn’t decide on a favorite but I chose the first since I think it’s a cool action shot which is a little more unique.

Today is Skylar’s 4th birthday, so here’s a little puppy photo dump of the birthday girl! 💞

I made a cake and we had a mini bday party for her yesterday but I haven’t had a chance to edit the reel yet and my priority is spending quality time with Skylar today, rather than making the perfect content so I think this should suffice for now :) I’ll share some sneak peeks on my story in the meantime.

Skylar was the best puppy- she was eager to learn, highly food motivated and always down for a good time but also a nap. That’s what I want in a pet dog- lots of fun but also a little lazy… 😆 She was also the absolute fluffiest puppy, almost like a cotton ball and back then I called her fluffernutter haha. I loved having her as a puppy and we had such a good time together and I love having her as an adult dog now. She still has her wacky, puppy moments and still makes me laugh all the time, but I definitely see how she’s more mature and chill and not as highly food motivated as she used to be.

It brings mixed feelings- where I’m so grateful (and where I appreciate how much easier she is now) but I also am like, wait don’t get older, I want to slow down time because I need you on this earth with me forever.

Happy birthday baby girl. I love you my Skylarpants. You’re the best dog in the world. ❤️

While this may differ than my normal content, today is not a normal day. It is October 7th.

The day that my friends, family, and nation were attacked by terrorists. Men, women, and children were r***d, murdered, brutalized and kidnapped. These terrorists, many of whom were “civilians” who worked amongst the Jews they ultimately plotted against, shot Jewish children in their beds. Beheaded people in their homes. R***d teenage girls who were at a music festival to dance. Kidnapped babies as well as elderly Holocaust survivors who had advocated for peace. Many of these innocent souls are still being held hostage in Gaza and are enduring unspeakable horrors. Of over 200 hostages, more than half have foreign citizenship.

This is my family. I remember hearing about these attacks while we were in Israel last year
on October 7th. I remember the fear while walking in the streets and the horror as we kept finding out that pure evil does indeed exist. Running to the bomb shelter with my 4 month old son praying that the rockets being sent our way do not hurt anyone.

Sadly, that nightmare feeling has not gone away. It’s been a year. And antisemitism across the world has skyrocketed. Calls for death to Jews, violent assaults, vandalism against Jewish synagogues and all sorts of antisemitism have increased roughly 200%. The misinformation being spread, the anti-Israel bias on social media, and the support of Hamas and Hezbollah hurts every time. But not for one second will I stop standing with Israel. Now and forever. The Jewish people always have and always will survive despite the fact that we are a tiny nation and a lot of people hate us.

Please take a moment today to think about the victims of October 7th and to pray for the release of the hostages. There was no war on October 6th, 2023. Hamas invaded Israel and started this awful war and as a result, many lives have been lost. Let’s pray that we can put an end to terrorism once and for all so that people can live in peace in the Middle East and across the world.

Here’s a little photo dump of our first family of 4 vacation! ☺️

We spent quality time and experienced beautiful nature including mountains, lakes, fields, a creek, stars and open fields. It was wonderful.

Skylar pranced around the fields and went in and out of the creek on the property. She swam so much, but yet never got sick of it. (Do you see her little head cruising through the lake in the background of some of the photos? 😆) She got her very own burger when we grilled dinner and she loved following Shalom around. Of course there were also lots of cuddles and treats.

Shalom learned to say “go” when throwing Skylar a ball or stick to Skylar (today’s reel if you didn’t see it yet!), literally ran through the woods, walked in a (shallow) lake, and laughed his head off. He also played with sticks, tried to eat rocks and climbed a tree (with help).

While it did not all go as planned (I shared about this in stories), it was truly an unforgettable experience and I can’t wait to form more memories with our little family. 🥹

Sadly, I didn’t get a single pic of me with Moe (who gets all the credit for planning this trip!) or of all 4 of us because we barely saw any people to take a pic for us and our hands were full and we were so busy, it didn’t happen. 😅

Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass, it’s about learning to dance in the rain. We didn’t quite dance, but we did hike and it was magical! 🌳

HAPPY 1st BIRTHDAY SHALOM!!! 🎉❤️👶🏼
I truly cannot believe that my little boy is one!

We did a cake smash photoshoot with the amazing last week for the occasion and these are just the sneak peeks but omg I just cannot handle the cuteness!

When asked what theme I knew it had to be something will balls because Shalom is obsessed! His first word was “ball” but pronounced “ba-oll” and if you’ve been watching our reels you’ve seen him trying to play ball with Skylar :)

Skylar was VERY happy to be given full permission to eat cake (Shalom was not as into it) and the two of them made quite the mess.

I’m definitely going to be posting more once we get the full gallery, but in the meantime, in honor of Shalom turning one, tell me below what your favorite video/photo of him that I’ve posted this past year has been and I’ll pin my favorite comments ☺️

Happy 3rd gotcha day Skylar! ✨ Cannot believe it’s been 3 years since the day we brought home our baby girl. It was one of the best days of my life. Here’s a photo dump of some pics from her first week home! Which pic is your favorite??

She was a good girl from day 1 with the perfect mix of cuddlebug sweetness, goofy playfulness and just being the absolutely perfect pup ever.

Grateful that I have her in my life and that I can share her with all of you!
