I’m going to get real. Let’s talk matting!
It’s created by friction of the coat and hair fall (shedding hairs) getting tangled up AND lack of maintenance.
Here are the REAL facts
(some of these might sting a little)
* Mats don’t form over night
* It’s not your child’s responsibility
* Your pet may act differently afterwards
* Matted pets COST more at the salon
* Groomers aren’t lazy for not dematting
* Dematting HURTS your pet
* Matting CAN be prevented
* Longer coats mat faster
* Certain coat TYPES mat faster
* Matting on ears MAY cause hematomas
* Dematting is hard on a groomer physically
* Matting can cause sores, bruises etc.
* Matting conceals infestations (fleas etc)
* Matting is NEVER a groomers fault
* Brushing mats out can cause brush burn
* Shaving mats takes time and dulls tools
* Getting mats wet makes them tighter
* Bad mats? Detanglers won’t work
* Some mats (tangles) CAN be brushed out

FAQ:

Can I register my chip with Fi even though it's registered elsewhere? Yes! When your chip is searched in the universal database petmicrochiplookup.org, both registrations will show up, but your Fi registration shows as the most up to date and you will never be charged. Your old registration can stay in there, but you can keep your Fi registration up to date for free.

Why do I need a GPS collar if I have a microchip? Microchips are NOT GPS - in order to find your pup via a microchip, someone has to find your dog, bring them to a vet to have them scanned, look up your information, and contact you - that's why the registration is so important!
