11/28/23 ~ REUNITED ~ Arya was trapped this morning and is safely home!
Arya’s story to safety after being on the run for 24 days.
Arya couldn’t resist the temptation of deer passing by her home and succumbed to the chase. She was so focused that she ran herself into unfamiliar territory and just could not find her way back home. Because she lives where homes are on very large parcels (upwards of 50+ acres or more) with trails, she was also very good at being elusive with random pop-up sightings over the last 24 days. While she always seemed to revisit one certain area, getting her to a camera and food station continued to be a challenge.
With the first week of hunting season underway, thankfully, we received many calls from hunters watching her run through the area. But even adding more cameras and more food stations, she continued to do her own thing.
On November 28th, Giving Tuesday, we finally received the call we needed. A kind gentleman saw a flyer in his travels, called Arya’s mom right away and reported that he has been seeing her regularly for 2 weeks, at approximately the same times each day. Arya’s dad packed up our equipment and was there within an hour. Arya was there within 10 minutes of his departure back home!
It is very probable that she watched her dad setup, leaving her some enticing food that she couldn’t resist, but just needed the area to herself and be brave enough to check it out.

Glass beach in California.
Glass Beach is a fascinating site that has been naturally transformed from a century-old trash site into a multicolored treasure chest.
Over the years, the sea’s waves churning against the sands have smoothed the edges of car batteries, bottles and cans, turning them into a rainbow of translucent colors.
Capture photos of this extraordinary beach on the Pacific Ocean.Choose your favorite colors among the ruby reds and bright blues. Inspect these fascinating gems, before leaving them on the beach for others to discover.
Consider the origins of the various stones. Sapphire gems come from apothecary bottles, while the ruby reds are likely from pre-1967 tail lights.
Glass Beach consists of three individual bays that were all used as trash sites for decades. Climb to the top of the cliffs around the northernmost beach and enjoy a picnic with your family. Appreciate the panoramic views of the ocean, with its many rocks and tiny islands that rise above the foamy water.Stroll along this multicolored beach with your family and friends. Feel the cool sensation of the waves on your feet on a warm day.
Spot the small yellow endangered Menzies’ wallflower that grows here.Note that the three dump sites operated from 1906 until 1967. Over the years, programs were put in place to undo the environmental damage and much of the metal and other non-biodegradable items were sold as scrap.
The force of the waves broke down the remaining pottery and glass into small jewels.Glass Beach overlooks the Pacific Ocean in the northwestern corner of Fort Bragg. It is just south of Pudding Creek and stands at the end of the Glass Beach Trail that runs from the town center.
Leave your car in the parking lot at the intersection between the trail and the nearest road. The beach is open at all times and is free to enter.

Today I came home to a note on my mailbox... a stray had been hit and was found deceased at the edge of my property. Beautiful kitty that sometimes ran through my yard. I took it to Rossmoyne to be scanned but unfortunately there was no chip detected. They are taking care of cremation. I live on Green Ridge Road in Silver Spring Township. Asking you to post in case there is an owner looking. Or if you've received a report of a missing cat that fits this description.

Blue Healer (?) wearing rubber black collar
Railroad Ave. & Spruce St.
Find Toby has picture for identifying purpose.
NEIGHBOR IN AREA IS CHECKING IF LIVES NEAR BY
Post via PM: Rachel Horst
I couldn’t stop, but I just drove past what looked like a blue healer, deceased, along the side of the road. Railroad Ave and closest cross street would be spruce St, new Holland. There’s tons of farms along there so it’s likely a farm dog, considering the breed, but figured I’d share.
