REHOME: Columbus, OH. Posting for a friend. This fella needs a new home. Boxer/Dane mix. Joey is 6 / 7 months old, all shots and has been neutered. He is great with kids and other animals, Very affectionate to "humans" needs lots of attention. Has some separation anxiety. Looking for a home with a little more time for his needs. I love the breed, but any dynamic in any dog household requires careful attention. There are signs, behaviors. Multiple dog families should be aware, it's more common then you know. You are more likely to find a support group for the loss of a child, then "My dogs killed my other dog". There's guilt attached to it. Selfishness maybe. As the sole advocate for your babies, it's an unbearable shame. Dogs that sleep and play together one day, will kill an older dog, in some cases a puppy, the next. NEVER trust an animal to be more then an animal in the end. The biggest heartache besides the loss is the sting of reality that in the end they are not your babies, they are animals. The biggest thing i hear trainors always say is remember its a dog, stop treating them like a child. Dogs follow each other. Pack instinct i could say kicks in. This post is to advocate for the littles. To give them a voice because they were here first. And having put several of these large magnificent creatures out into the world I feel morally obligated to make sure you remember, they are just that, animals. PLEASE be careful. For Keyton and Ashley. My first loves.

Like people, dogs look like their parents. Eye spacing, ear shape and tilt, shape of heads. It's been fun to see pups later and see differences. Gravity is built like her mom. Narrow, not a truck like her dad. However..everything else..from the eye spacing to the quirky ear...daddies girl. Pure baby Epic.

**update a new furever home was found**He has been scared and growling with everyone but Jim...then this visitor came to meet him and he was sitting in his lap within 10min. Meant to be! ****125lb 10 months old. No small kids. He is OK with a visit from children but can't do a crazy busy household. One dog would prob be fine but he only knew the neighbors dog. No fees.Hes up to date on everything. Could be neutered now if you had to but hasn't been because he's under recommended age 12 months. Columbus. Can travel a little if needed. He will need to warm up a bit on transfer to know you then he clings to whoever is there.

Phantom is UTD on shots...Lepto, rabies exp 12/23, DHPP and Bordetella exp 10/23. Not neutered.We recommend waiting till at least 12-18 months. Tolerates the cat he lives with. No time really with other dogs just sniff around neighbors dog then go other way, no aggression displayed. Ok with kids 6+ years old, 4 yr old likes to trip him and push him over. Leash trained with head harness only, still a work in progress.Never in a crate he has his own bedroom.

This little heart breaker went home today. Anybody who wanted a boy second guessed themselves and almost took her instead. She won over a heart again today, she's just that cute. 🥰
